Make sure you read that you have everything you need. This description said that it needed a zigbee hub , but also it can connect to alexa echo shows. One thing, it didn't say that you needed lights to add to the smart home the echo device that you have lights added first before you can add the door sensor. This is not user-friendly.

    EXCELLENT Zigbee Door/Window Sensor! Extremely small compared to Z-Wave sensors and a TINY FRACTION of the price! Was recognized INSTANTLY by my Samsung Smartthings controller. This is my second attempt to use Zigbee to replace dying Z-Wave sensors. The other Zigbee product I bought was not recognized by Samsung Smartthings.
