Workhorse Headset That Delivers – Long Range, Crystal Calls, Loving it
I’ve been using the Yealink WH64 Mono-Ear Teams headset for some time, and It’s kind of a beast. I grabbed it because I needed something reliable for back-to-back Teams meetings, Zoom calls, and the occasional phone chat while pacing around the house like a caffeinated squirrel. This thing delivers. First off, the range is wild. I don’t know who measured 606 feet, but I walked all the way to the mailbox mid-call and didn’t drop a single word. That’s like… half a football field? Maybe more? Anyway, it’s far. And it works. The sound quality is super clear. The 3X noise cancelling mic actually does its job—I’ve had people say they couldn’t hear my dog barking or the leaf blower outside. That’s a win. I sound crisp, not robotic, and there’s no weird echo or delay. Even on my old desk phone, it sounds better than the wired headset I used to swear by. Comfort-wise, it’s great. I was worried about the mono-ear design, but it’s lightweight and doesn’t pinch. I’ve worn it for 4–5 hours straight and didn’t feel like my ear was being punished. The padding is soft, and the headband adjusts easily without feeling flimsy. Battery life? Solid. I’ve used it for full workdays and haven’t had to recharge mid-shift. The 26-hour call time seems legit—I’ve only charged it twice since I got it. The ringtone feature is kinda cute too—it lets me know when a call’s coming in even if I’m not staring at the screen. Bluetooth and DECT pairing both work smoothly. I’ve connected it to my laptop, desk phone, and cellphone without any drama. Switching between devices is pretty seamless once you get the hang of it. The manual was a little dry and had a few typos, but setup was easy enough that I didn’t need to read it twice. Overall, this headset is a workhorse. If you’re juggling calls, meetings, and random interruptions all day, it’s worth every penny. Would definetly recomend. Might even get one for my brother—he’s still using wired earbuds like it’s 2012.

If you are wondering what a hybrid headset is, it is equipped with dual wireless connectivity, making it ideal for versatile and effortless use in both office and remote environments. It features a DECT chipset, enabling a reliable, long-range connection to a desk phone and computer when in the office. Additionally, the built-in Bluetooth chipset allows the headset to pair seamlessly with a mobile device, letting users take calls on the go.

This dual connectivity means users don’t need multiple headsets—whether stepping out of the workspace or working remotely, the headset effortlessly switches to Bluetooth for mobile use. When the user returns to the desk, the headset automatically reconnects to DECT, enabling continued use with the desk phone and computer.

My daily driver headset is a $100 Yealink BH70 Bluetooth-only headset, which shares the same excellent microphone noise reduction tech. I could not discern any difference in incoming or outgoing audio quality with this new hybrid model.

Note that it is only compatible with IP desk phones. And expensive if you're happy using Bluetooth.

I still prefer dual-speaker headsets, but mono units have their place in some environments.

In conclusion, Yealink this headset integrates both DECT and Bluetooth connectivity in a single device without sacrificing audio quality or connection stability. At $160, the WH64 stands out as a strong contender in the IP desk phone wireless headset market, offering exceptional value and flexibility for professionals who require a versatile, multi-connectivity solution without using 2 headsets.

    3-year US warranty.

    Recommended.

⭐️1 star — I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.
⭐️⭐️ 2 stars — I don't recommend it: has multiple faults, or a very high price.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars — It's passable: it has some faults, but the quality is ok for what it is.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars — Product quite acceptable, and it does what it promises.
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars — Product that I totally recommend.

This headset is great quality and fantastic for business use. There are two ways to connect – Bluetooth and DECT. Both connections are seamless. I use this headset for work so I have to wear it for long periods frequently. It is really comfortable and lightweight – not hard on my ear/head. The mic works really well. I love that I can simply flip it up to mute, especially since I work from home and have kids. The charging base is such a nice accessory. When not in use, I not only have a convenient place to keep them, but it charges them too. The audio is top notch with very clear call clarity. Keep in mind – these are not made for music so you may find it lacking if you listen to tunes with them. All in all, this headset is ideal for business use, works flawlessly, and is very well made.
