These were easy to set up, the app integrates immediately, hooked up to the network easily, The mounting hardware is exactly what you need and nothing more, the unit connects to it like any smoke or carbon monoxide alarm, and is barely bigger than a non IOT monitoring device but it has the intelligence to let you monitor through an excellent iOS or Android app. It also lets you select a second person at a completely different location and email to act as a backup in case you don't get the notification that there's an issue, which adds considerably to the functionality and desirability. I'm a big fan of the internet of things and this is a welcome addition to my smart home by monitoring the safety of my family's air.

Does not alert you remotely!

I suppose it works and is useful if you're home all the time to receive your alerts while your phone is connected to Wi-Fi. I got home and as soon as my phone connected to Wi-Fi I got the alert from my water sensor. Would have been nice to know many hours beforehand. I have the SBS 50 base station, heat sensors, smoke alarms, and water sensors.

So this is an update to my original posting which is obviously not very detailed but the initial problem occurred in that I bought this to alert me when my sump pump tripped the GFI and Water started accumulating in the basement. I got home the other day, pulled in my driveway, phone connected to my home Wi-Fi and immediately ONLY THEN got the alert, several hours after it would have been useful to know.

So I contacted tech support and they got back with me the next day and asked me to try something relating to testing the devices and when I pressed the button on my combination smoke alarm carbon monoxide alarm it immediately went to a fast blue blinking light which meant it was trying to pair. I never could get it to pair I deleted it from the app I never could get it to connect to the app again.

So I was still trying to figure this out it would only alert when I was connected to my Wi-Fi I tested it on a different Wi-Fi no luck I was getting email alerts but I wanted alerts through the app. I updated the app and was able to get alerts on mobile data only and put it away for the night next day I thought I'd try it all again guess what same issue alerts only when connected to Wi-Fi this is unreliable of course and if you're relying on it for carbon monoxide or fire then I consider it dangerous if it's is not alerting your phone when you are on mobile only I have deleted the app and removed all the devices I just wish I hadn't gone all in on smoke alarms heat alarm carbon monoxide alarm and water alarms plus the base. Will be finding a different product.
