I picked up this 10-in-1 USB C docking station because I needed an easy way to connect my laptop to more devices. I work with a lot of different accessories, so I wanted something portable that would let me plug in everything I use, without needing a bunch of adapters.
The docking station feels sturdy. The aluminum housing makes it feel more solid than some other hubs I’ve used, and it’s heavier than it looks (but still easy to toss in a bag). The finish looks good and doesn’t pick up fingerprints, which is a nice plus.
The setup is simple. On the front, you get two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 ports, a USB C 3.2 port, and a dedicated spot to plug in your laptop’s USB C charger. The back side has the 4K HDMI port, an SD card slot, a microSD (TF) slot, and a gigabit ethernet port. Everything is spaced out well so cables don’t get tangled. I like that the USB 3.2 ports are fast enough for big file transfers, while the USB 2.0s work fine for my mouse and keyboard.
Connecting to my external monitor worked right away. The HDMI port supports 4K at 60Hz, which looks sharp. Just make sure your laptop supports video over USB-C, or the HDMI port will not show anything. The ethernet port gave me a steady wired internet connection without any setup.
I noticed the card slots only let you use either SD or TF cards, not both at once. This is normal for most hubs, but worth mentioning. File transfers were quick and easy.
One of the nicer touches is the slight tilt angle. The hub sits at a comfortable angle and stays in place thanks to the anti-slip pads. It also runs pretty cool, even after hours of use.
Overall, this docking station does exactly what I hoped. It’s sturdy, simple, and handles all the connections I need for work or at home. If you want a portable hub that feels solid and just works, this is a good pick.
