I've been holding off on purchasing a tablet for sheet music for years, since I haven't been able to find one big enough to read music comfortably without spending more money than I was comfortable with spending on an experiment.
The screen is MASSIVE compared to any other tablet I've seen in person, and cropping the extra white space off of PDFs makes the staves nearly the same size as the physical sheets. The matte finish is comfortable for writing and is pretty good against glare. I like the option to change color mode to prevent eyestrain, and it gets plenty bright, so I'm comfortable taking this onstage for performance. I also love that it only takes up half of a music stand, so I don't have to bring my little shelf onstage for my extra gear.
Pairs well with Bluetooth devices, which means a page turning pedal works just fine. There is the slightest delay when turning pages, but I saw similar complaints posted to the foot pedal reviews. Not that big of an issue if you plan accordingly!
Battery life is great, I've yet to dip it below 50% after hours of use. Leaving it on standby, it lost something like 5% charge from 5pm-9am, but charges super quickly with the included turbo charger.
The stylus is ok. It's comfortable enough to hold, and I like that it "turns off" when not in use, but that also means you have to click the side button to wake it up when you're ready to use it. It seems like the drawing point doesn't always line up with the tip correctly, so it's not super precise. Good enough for my purposes, but may be a drawback for others.
Performance seems good, but I'm not super technical about that kind of thing. It loads my sheet music app fine and works well for streaming videos. If you're an android user, your familiar enough with how this works, and most of the settings are the same.
The case is good, but is maybe a little slipperier in table top mode than I would like. If the little feet aren't in one of the grooves, it'll slide till flat. I'm sorry to say it took me way too long to figure out how to fold it into drawing mode, but it works great for that!
It's maybe a little heavier than I thought it would be, but not unreasonably so. Still lighter than a folder full of music!
Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience so far! I've only had it for a few weeks, so we'll see if performance and battery keep up. I'll update the review if needed. For now, I give this a 9/10, would definitely recommend to other musicians as an alternative to the more expensive tablet options!
