I work with vinyl a lot
I work with pressure sensitive vinyl a lot. It's kind of the same thing. I also work with 3M electrical tape a lot. It is also kind of the same thing. The key takeaways here are that it's a little narrower. 18mm vs 19½ mm. I'm using metric because I want to. You can see my my photo how minute the difference is but you will probably still notice. It's not as bright white. Photo showing that as well. Stretchy but not quite as stretchy as the 3M. Tears fairly easily but not quite as easily as the 3M and when it does, it has as sort of fracturing going on. Think of the material just cracking or breaking where you tear it. A tiny bit more brittle. That's not always an indication of bad material but it could be an indication that it's not going to conform to curves quite the same as the tape you've been using. That's just my observation. Tried to take a pic of that as well. Most people won't notice any difference but I did. The thickness of the tape seems the same but I don't really have a reliable way to measure that. Sticky. Not sure that it's as sticky as the 3M Oh and you can write on it with a marker, possibly even more easily as it's more of a matte finish compared to the 3M semi gloss finish. Maybe I'm biased towards 3M. No, I know for a fact that I am biased towards 3M but I gave it 5 stars because it's good, will work for the bulk of my needs which is just labelling things primarily and holding things temporarily without residue. Nothing else can or ever will be 3M. That's just life.
