This is a generally a solid, well-made unit. I like the USB panel and often have two desk lamps and my phone charging at the same time. Having the main power switch at the base is a little tricky, but not a bad thing.
The mains cable seems to go on forever when used indoors, and it's a decent, thick cable, capable of handling the maximum load without warming. But because of its thickness, it doesn't do tight corners that well.
Where it falls down, along with nearly all of these vertical units which use all four sides, is the orientation of the sockets. To make them as cheap as possible, the sockets of two sides have to end up with their live and neutral at the same corner. This means that any plug with a built-in transformer which hangs below the plug, or which has a stiffer than normal cable strain relief, will interfere with any other plug you try to insert into the socket on the other side of that corner.
As I said, this is a common design flaw, and if you are going to have a lot of the sockets permanently occupied, it's possible to minimize the interference problem.
