Installed this at my shop and office entry points, but wasn’t really sure what to expect considering quality kits are worth more than double.. Setup was a pain, instructions are laughable translated. The device is also poorly translated and has spelling mistakes. Chinese characters in some of the device menus…
Didn’t bother setting up the motion sensors since I’ve got a cat that roams around, but I tested the whole kit upon arrival and they worked. All the door/window sensors are holding up fine and still stuck on a couple weeks in. Winter will likely tell a different story for the adhesive though.
I definitely wouldn't recommend it to somebody looking for a serious security or home security setup. There's also the argument that since it's a smart device and accessing their app and signing in, they do technically have access to some of your data and most importantly, your network. Throw it on a setup guest network if you can.
It’s not a replacement for a wired security system, or even just a slightly more expensive kit, but if you're on a tight budget and just want peace of mind without drilling into walls, this works. Just don’t expect it to stop somebody serious.. This is more of a light deterrent.
