I was looking for a simple way to keep my above-ground pool clean without dragging out a manual vacuum every time leaves and debris settled on the bottom, and this cordless robotic pool cleaner has been a pleasant surprise. The setup couldn't have been much easier. After charging the unit, I simply placed it in the pool, and it immediately got to work without any complicated programming or hoses to deal with.
The cordless design is probably my favorite feature because there's no power cord to tangle or limit where the cleaner can travel. It moves around the pool on its own, picking up dirt, sand, small leaves, bugs, and other typical debris that accumulates between cleanings. The suction power is better than I expected for a compact cordless unit. While it isn't intended to replace a full-sized pool vacuum for major cleanups after a storm, it does an excellent job handling routine maintenance. The filter basket was easy to remove, rinse clean, and reinstall, making post-cleanup maintenance quick and straightforward. The self-parking feature also worked as advertised. When the battery ran low, the cleaner moved toward the side of the pool, making it much easier to retrieve than fishing for it in the middle. That may seem like a small feature, but it's one I ended up appreciating every time I used it.
This robotic pool cleaner does come with a retrieval hook. Finding it took me a bit of time. The instruction manual mentions the hook but doesn’t show where to find it in the diagram. There is a little sticker on the top of the machine indicating it is inside, but I grew concerned about ripping it apart. There is a small trifold pamphlet that explains where it is. Even then, I felt it was buried in the bowels of the machine. I took a photo of where the hook is to help you out. Once I found it, I knew I could find it again, but since it is buried so deep, I wouldn’t expect storing it each time inside the machine. You literally have to take the entire robot apart to get to the hook.
This cordless above-ground robotic pool cleaner appears to match the advertised features, including cordless operation, automatic cleaning, strong suction for routine debris, and self-parking capability. Overall, this has made routine pool maintenance much less of a chore. Instead of spending time vacuuming by hand every few days, I can let the robot handle the day-to-day debris while I focus on enjoying the pool. For anyone with an above-ground pool looking for an affordable, easy-to-use maintenance cleaner, this is a solid option.
Horrible! Charged it for a full 24 hours before using and it only worked for an hour! Not happy and it’s supposed to work for an above ground round pool and it did not! My pool is not that dirty and I have a canopy over it but this was also supposed to rotate in a round pool and apparently not! It will be returned ASAP!
I wasn't expecting such a compact cordless pool vacuum to perform as well as it did, but it turned out to be a little gem. From the moment I unpacked it, I could tell it was thoughtfully designed. One feature that immediately stood out was the unique filter/screen combination and I appreciated finding the retrieval hook conveniently stored underneath the filter so everything needed was kept together.
The vacuum itself feels solid and well made. It has enough weight to stay planted on the pool floor while cleaning, yet it's still easy to lower into the pool and remove when finished.
Setup couldn't have been much easier. After charging the unit, it was simply a matter of turning it on, placing it in the pool, and letting it do its job. The battery lasted a little over an hour during my testing, which gave it plenty of time to clean while I went about other things. It was nice being able to "set it and forget it" and return to a noticeably cleaner pool.
Performance exceeded my expectations. It picked up debris very well, and I was pleasantly surprised that it never became tangled around my pool ladder, something I initially thought might happen. I also intentionally ran the battery completely down during both of my test runs and noticed that each time it stopped in the same general area of the pool, making it easy to retrieve. The self-parking feature appears to work exactly as intended.
I've always spent at least 30 minutes manually vacuuming my pool, so having this little robot take over much of that work has been a huge time saver. It doesn't replace the occasional deep cleaning, but it does an excellent job keeping the pool clean between maintenance sessions. If you're looking for an easy-to-use cordless robotic pool cleaner that performs well and saves time, this one is definitely worth considering.
I got to test out this cordless pool vacuum cleaner and I'm so glad I was able to test it because my above ground pool needed some deep cleaning. I really liked this pool vacuum, and it was exactly what I needed/looked for. The vacuum is rechargeable and lasts about 40-45 minutes cleaning your pool before needing to charge again. I like that it does pick up tree leaves from my oak tree, dead bugs that have sunken to the bottom of the pool and dirt as well. To maintain the vacuum working properly, you have to make sure that it's cleaned after each se to prevent any odors, rush, and clogs that can deteriorate the suction function in the vacuum. I really like how easy it is to clean the filter basket and even easier to remove it to clean/rinse it. The self-parking is another cool feature that I also like. The self-parking is done when the battery is running low or when the basket is full of debris it sucked into the vacuum to clean it. When the battery runs low, the vacuum moves to the side of the pool for easy access to it/take out to clean it/charge it. Overall, I really like the pool vacuum cleaner and do recommend it. It does a great job in cleaning the pool from fallen debris.
