Best value for a webcam by far.
Best Budget Webcam Under $70The ROCWARE RC08 is my top pick for the best webcam under $70 on the market thanks to its high-end specs and unique AI-controlled modes. I've been turning down most webcams lately unless they have something unique. I have seen a lot of webcams so you can imagine how a normal 1080p 30fps webcam isn't going to pique my interest.I saw this webcam in amazon, which looked interesting, so I decided to do some research on it. I looked for Youtube videos about it, and I decided to try it. This is a great webcam for many reasons1. ROCWARE have a software download link that can be found in the menu instruction and on their official website.2. Setup in minutes. Speaker is loud enough.3.This webcam have a High sensitivity microphone, so i can adjust the image and noises via the software. This one is great.4. The autofocus is super fast, which is the primary reason to buy that webcam.That being said, it's not bad for an under $70 webcam though, it's not high-end or anything. Fortunately, I got this webcam whose sound quality is better than a laptop's built-in speakers or mic.Hope such a detailed review would be helpful.

    Impressive low light camera, loud but disappointing speakers

    I use Zoom meetings a lot and I have several web cams, all of which were $25 or less because with Camo, you can make any camera look great in any lighting conditions. I wanted to start making videos & needed a better camera so I ordered the Movo Webmic Pro but I was very disappointed with it and sent it back. With the credit I got back from that return & the $7 coupon, I only shelled out $8 for this and I am super impressed with the video quality, especially in low lighting. I'm a dark skinned African American and I can have nothing but the backlight from my computer & you can easily see me & everything else like the lights were on. The autofocus is just as fast as advertised & I have yet to see a blurred or out of focus view of myself or anything within view of the camera for that matter. Center Stage mode is not something that I personally like to use but I do like having the option although I wish the button to activate it was better placed. It's a feature you'll accidentally turn on or off every time you want to adjust the angle of the camera. Center Stagemakes the camera zooms in/out every few seconds while simultaneously panning/tilting the view to follow your face. I have stopped paying for Camo Pro, in fact I completely uninstalled Camo & gave away all my other webcams While it is a plug & play device, there is a camera control software & it isn't the easiest to install but using it is pretty straightforward there are video instructions on the RocWear website to help with installation. The speaker is very loud and good for watching videos of video chatting, however, this is NOT something you would want to listen to music on. The microphone is alright but nothing worth writing more about. I would totally recommend this webcam to anyone. For less than $50 you're getting an HD camera with lightning fast autofocus that works great in the darkest of lighting conditions which a built in speaker that's super loud although the quality isn't on par from what you typically expect from Harm.an Kardon. It's an exceptional great value that I would suggest anyone looking for a webcam.

    This webcam just arrived yesterday (as promised), so I haven't had a chance to use it on an actual Zoom call, but I did test it out today and it looks like it's everything I was looking for. The picture clarity is good, and the microphone picked up my voice with clarity, even from a significant distance from the computer. I have it mounted on top of a desktop monitor; the mounting is not super-secure, but it's good enough, and it was easy to adjust the angle to frame me appropriately. It's true plug-and-play right out of the box. I haven't downloaded the toolbox to play with the zoom or the other settings and controls, but from what I've seen so far, it's probably not necessary under normal circumstances. As far as being a "soundbar", that's a bit of a stretch. Voices are clear, and it's certainly good enough for Zoom calls and the like, but it's not something that I would choose to listen to music through. That wasn't the reason I bought it, and I wouldn't have expected something this size to provide quality music, so that's not an issue for me, and I didn't take any stars away because of it. All in all, it's what I needed.

    I am very pleased with the purchase! You won't go wrong with this purchase IMO.

    It is great to use if you work remotely like I do full-time. I'm on conference calls a lot during the day and our company uses Teams, Webex and Slack. It works flawlessly on all three. I've only had it a couple of days but have tested it thoroughly but cannot speak to longevity at this time. If I have an issue, I'll update my review accordingly. I'm able to use the built-in speaker and mic so that I don't have to wear a headset. The quality of those are definitely adequate. The only downside that I've found is the 4x zoom feature in that you must configure it using software downloaded from Rocware website. It isn't just plug and play like the other features. Some companies, like mine, don't want employees downloading software and have policies against that. My workaround was to download to my personal company, check for viruses, run the software and then configure the zoom level. After that, I was able to plug the webcam into my work laptop USB and the settings stayed the same. As long as you don't push the button on the back to change to vertical mode, you are good. Hope this helps someone!
