While robot vacuums have come a long way since they first came out in the 2000's, you still have to pay a higher price for better quality. This one is fine for smaller spaces, but I wouldn't recommend it for homes or apartments that are rather spacious with a lot of cleaning area.

Otherwise, here's what's really good about this robot vacuum.

This little robot has honestly changed how I manage pet hair in my house. With two dogs and a cat constantly shedding, I used to sweep or vacuum daily just to keep things under control. Now, I don’t even think about it. The Pet Hair Tangle Cutter is a total lifesaver—no more stopping to cut clumps of fur out of the brush. It glides through everything without tangling, which feels like magic.

The 10,000Pa suction power is seriously impressive. It pulls up every bit of dust, fur, and debris from my rugs and hardwood floors. The laser navigation is another standout—it maps rooms with precision, maneuvers smoothly around furniture, and rarely bumps into anything. I also appreciate the clever Pet Laser feature. My pets are curious about it, but it subtly keeps them out of the way without stressing them out.

Setup was effortless. I attached the cleaning pads, filled the water and essential oil reservoirs, plugged in the base, and it was ready to go. The app guided me through mapping, which took only one remap to get right. I love being able to schedule specific rooms at different times (and yes, it’s fun hearing it politely announce what it’s doing). When it finishes, it automatically empties into its base—a 75-day self-emptying capacity that really makes it set-and-forget. It’s quiet while cleaning, a bit louder when emptying, but only for a few seconds.

The only things I’d tweak? The water reservoir could be a bit larger for big spaces, and I’m not thrilled that it needs location permissions for setup. Also, once in a while it gets stuck under my bed—it’s a tight maze of furniture—but that’s minor compared to how spotless my floors stay.

For pet owners especially, this vacuum and mop combo is a win. It’s powerful, smart, and surprisingly fun to use. I come home to fur-free floors and clean air, and that’s absolutely worth it.

I have been using this vacuum for a week, and its performance exceeds my expectation. This is affordable compare to the other vacuums. It can do either mopping or sweeping, or both. I tried all features and all of them work. The App is easy to use. It vacuums very well, it’s able to pick up most of the pet hair on the floor. The water reservoir for the mopping looks small but it’s enough to clean roughly 600 SF floor space with the moderate setting. It’s not too loud, it’s pet friendly. Neither my cat nor my dog is scared of it. The battery life is really good. I cleaned 1000 Sf and it uses only 30% of its battery.

I’ve been using the Extravis V5 Pro for a week now and wanted to share my experience, especially for anyone with a multi-level home. The robot can store separate maps for each floor, but the option isn’t clearly labeled in the app. After the initial setup and map scan, you need to go into Menu > Room Manage and manually save the current map – it isn’t saved by default. Once that’s done, you can move the vacuum and base to the next floor, erase the map currently shown, scan the new floor, and then save that one under a different name. I also recommend placing the dock in roughly the same spot on each floor so the vacuum has an easier time finding it.
Vacuuming performance is very good, it moves thoroughly in an S pattern along the center of the room and it does avoid staircases and doesn't fall over, the LIDAR seems to work very well in detecting obstacles and empty spaces.
The mopping performance is also very good but in all fairness my floors are pretty clean to begin with as we only wear slippers inside the common areas of the home. I used the default mopping method to save battery and it leaves the floors shiny and clean without leaving streaks of water. So kudos to that.
It’s also worth clearing any loose wires before running a cleaning cycle. The side brushes can easily catch cables and get tangled on them. One docking issue I’ve experienced happened after a mop cycle was that the vacuum would only make it halfway up the ramp, get stuck, and keep retrying in an endless loop. Eventually it went into idle mode and just sat there on the floor. After turning it off and removing the damp mop pads (and swapping in fresh ones), it was able to dock and charge normally again. Not sure why this occurred, but I’ll be watching for it.
A couple of small improvements I’d love to see in the app: the map editor room names are very tiny, and when you zoom in to fine tune the room layout, the font becomes even smaller – it doesn’t scale with the zoom. A larger or scalable label would go a long way in making editing easier. Overall, I’m still very pleased with the cleaning performance and features. Just wanted to share these extra tips and quirks to help other owners get the most out of their setup.

Pros:

The cleaning power is seriously impressive. It pulls up debris and fine dust even from carpeted areas that my old vac used to miss.
It automatically empties the dustbin into its base station, which means I don’t have to babysit it after every run. Makes it feel very low maintenance.
It maps rooms intelligently and doesn’t just wander randomly. I can clearly see the mapped zones and it avoids bumping furniture.
While it’s not going to deep scrub, it leaves the floor looking fresh and picks up the fine dust that vacuums sometimes leave behind.
It smartly boosts power when moving onto rugs or carpet, which helps give a more thorough clean without user input.

Cons:

Mop tank could be larger. I need to refill it for bigger areas it runs out of water faster than expected during longer cleaning sessions.
Setup and map customization work, but the interface isn't the most intuitive. It could use a visual polish and better tutorials.
On carpet with high-power mode, it’s louder than I anticipated although not a big deal unless I'm on a call or trying to nap nearby.
The cat laser can't be disabled, it turns on automatically during cleaning sessions.
The first mapping run is slow and meticulous but once done, it’s smooth sailing.

We have used another similar vacuum robot from EXTRAVIS in the past few months, and it's working reliably on one of the floors.

The build quality is good, however, having used some high-end advanced MOP + Vac robots, this EXTRAVIS V5 is best used just as a robot "Vacuum cleaner". Its mopping feature is very basic as it does not have the provision to collect water directly from the base-station, and because of that it does not qualify as an automatic robot for mopping. We need to keep filling water manually, and once mopping is done, we will have to rinse and dry the MOP pads manually – thus serving no purpose of being an "auto" robot! Probably easier/quicker to manually mop by hand. It's not a deal-breaker though, as the more advanced MOP machines cost 4-5 times more. Therefore, for the money we get a good Robot from a good company.

The self-empty feature works well, although, in good weather I prefer emptying the robot's bin manually after every use. The auto-empty feature is especially useful during our harsh-winters.

There are no pets in our house, and the suction power is adequate for normal household cleaning.

Using the APP is intuitive – very similar to the other Robot vacuum APPs.

Dual Edge-Sweeping brush is an excellent feature – which I've not seen even in some expensive models. This really helps in pulling dirt from the corners (on both sides) without reversing the direction.
We get 2 spare Edge-Sweeping brushes, one spare main Tangle-Cutter, one spare main filter, one spare main dust-collection bag, and 2 spare MOP pads. That's good value as we do not have to immediately think of spare consumables. Besides, some of the consumables from our other Vac-robots are compatible with this V5 machine.

For the money this still deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ as a Vacuum robot. Two stars for the MOP feature.

I have two other robo vacs (one for each floor) but I needed to replace my main floor vac. The Extravis has been working great for my space. It picks up about as well as my other upstairs model but where it offers extra convience is in the large 3.5 L dust bin. With my other vacs I had to empty them after running just once, but now I don't have to do that with the Extravis. I don't have cats or dogs so there's not too much hair other than some long human hair. I have noticed that there's a lot less hair trapped in the main brush as this model slices through the hair and gets sucked into the bin. I connected this vac to my Tuya app for running and mapping. It has good obstactle avoidance but I am quite particular about clearing most objects from the floor before running any robo vac as it improves the efficiency of the vac. I haven't tested the mop feature as they tend not to work the greatest as they don't exert enough pressure to clean up dried on dirt. Overall this is a well made, good performing robo vac. Maybe I'll get a cat just so I can use the laser toy feature!
