Ive had this device for about 2 weeks now and am generally pleased with this device. As an experienced project manager I can take notes with the best of them, but in the age of Ai and being able to automate processes and allocate my time to other more pressing things rather than admin I was looking for a device that could take notes/capture transcripts no matter the "virtual venue". This device won because I can have earbuds in, clearly engage with any one on any meeting vendor, and capture all of the dialogue. Pros: can be used with laptop, or phone. The recordings can be captured and stored directly to the earbuds themselves or the device, or to your cell phone via the app. Cons: As a first generation product, it can be a little buggy which would likely piss off some people. The device is controlled by light or firm touches to the earbuds which start and stop the recordings. Unfortunately sometimes it will just stop recording on its own. You are more stable if you have the app open on your phone running while you have your call playing etc. These little nuances were not mentioned in the user guide, this is just something I learned along the way. The battery life is decent but dont expect to skip 3 days without recharging the case. There is no punch hole to attach a tether or anything like that, so if you set this EarPods set down, you can kiss it goodbye if you are one to set things down and leave them. Overall It's meeting my needs right now, the transcription is decent enough. The summary's are really good, you can only export the transcript. And it's only available in txt format. So dont expect super fluid automation with this thing, there's still some back end work with the GPT of your choice to crank out notes. But for someone like me that's in consecutive calls, and they are. not always allowed to be recorded…. this lets you get the job done. I look forward to the next generation.
