Wow! Just Wow!
This keyboard set is awesome! I knew instantly when taking the keyboard out of the box that I was very impressed with this keyboard! I have been suffering with carpel tunnel in my hands and the moment my hands rested on the keyboard, I instinctively let out a sigh. I am not joking! The sound while typing is easy on the ears, and the touch of the keys feel very productive. Beautiful design with minimalistic appeal. Definitely designed with the user in mind. Looks more expensive than the actual cost. Has the weight of a sturdy device, no feeling of flimsyness. I am pleased with this purchase.

This keyboard has been great for me. It is quiet and the battery life is top-notch in my opinion. The only question I have is, how can I get another 2.4ghz receiver? I received the one that came with the keyboard combo but I would like to use it on my home station next to it. Let me know how much if you could.

I love this set – it allows me to put my 10key out of the way when not needed for a cleaner desktop (It's pretty rare, it sees a lot of use) and the horizontal mouse position is great for relieving shoulder tension. A couple of times the 10key hasn't connected well but switching it off and back on has solved that issue.

Note- this does not have Bluetooth. I missed that, I have a foldable protoarc I love and just assumed this one had it. 5 stars as that was my error. Aside from no Bluetoothfrom, this is excellent and a way better price point than the Microsoft sculpt. Hopefully it stands up. The sculpt usually only made it a year or two before I had to replace it. I’ve used for probably 10 years now. This one is essentially the same thing with a better number pad and mouse for a way better price.

Like several others here, I used to use the Microsoft Ergo, but the cost just got too prohibitive. I don’t use the numbers much, so you get a smaller workstation without them on the keyboard. I am amazed more don’t make a keyboard that doesn’t have the expanded attached numbers key. The keypad is not up to Microsoft in terms of action, but is functional. In general, I like the keyboard. The support is worthless, and it has an irritating issue. The Fn key does not drive the Home and End keys on Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, or Excel. [ I am amazed more don’t report this issue.] This failure can be frustrating for someone who works on large documents. I suspect they have some compatibility issues, but they can’t listen. I returned it once, but the new one had the same issue. Would I buy it again? There are workarounds for the failure, and the cost is competitive. So yes, but be aware it is not the Microsoft Ergo; you have to make allowances that might not work for you, and the charging is a hassle. There are few options for this type of keyboard, so I will work with this one until a better one comes along.

I bought this keyboard and mouse combo 3 months ago and yesterday they suddenly stopped working. I tried charging them both overnight, changing the USB port the dongle is connected to, and all the other trouble shooting suggestions on ProArc's site. However, nothing helped and I have had to start using my old keyboard and mouse combo again. (Thank goodness I kept them. At least they work.) I went into a chat on the support service page on their website and after explaining I'd already done the troubleshooting ideas they suggested, the representative ended the chat without further comment and asked for a rating on service. You can imagine I did not give the experience a thumbs up.

This is my initial thought on the produce. So far it has been great. Such a smooth keyboard and great looking too. the ONLY thing I would say needs improvement is the mouse grip. it's all smooth plastic so it would be great if it had more grip in the thumb area. Other than that this is a phenomenal product. I will have to buy another one for my home office.

Really helped with my carpel tunnel and was easy to get used to for me. The only thing is that the dongle can only go in the mouse or the key pad, I do wish there was a magnetic space in the main keyboard for it to carry. All in all, each of the sections has an on/off toggle to keep the battery in check and lasts quite a while.

Takes some time to get used to, slightly nonstandard layout. Very large

Reviewed in Canada on April 22, 2025

This is a decent choice if you're looking for a wireless ergonomic keyboard, particularly with the unique standalone number pad. If you're switching from a standard keyboard, the split layout will definitely take time to get used to, especially if you're like me and sometimes use the "wrong" finger to press a key, for example depending on the word, I sometimes press B with the right index finger and the Y with the left– this isn't possible on a split layout and will probably lead to a lot of mistakes early on.

Keep in mind this is a full size keyboard and takes up a lot of desk space, with large bezels and an even larger palm rest. The wireless feature is nice but due to the size it's likely to sit on your desk plugged in all the time.

The layout is almost standard IBM, but the Fn modifier key really should be on the topmost row where the actual Function keys are (or at least to the right of the spacebar), not beside LCtrl where it interferes with the far more commonly-used modifiers. The context menu key (Appskey) and RWin is also missing altogether which will be very annoying for power users. You do get a smaller set of arrow keys duplicated on the main unit which is useful in case the numpad is not with you.

The mouse is very basic by comparison, but it does thankfully have side buttons for forward and back– these are absolutely essential for productivity of course. Range on both keyboards and mouse are good.

I tested the device with Windows and Android (Samsung DeX) and it's plug and play as expected. It's a good choice if you want an ergonomic keyboard and don't mind the flatter keys and the aforementioned handful of limitations.

Sleek and stylish keyboard+mouse that easily beats Logitech on performance, price and functionality!

Reviewed in Canada on April 20, 2025

Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What’s this? )

I love this ProtoArc split wireless keyboard and mouse combo set!

Micro-switches are overrated. They are! The entire PCMR has been led to believe that the only keyboard worth a darn is one that has micro-switches and I'm here to tell you that's simply not true. Yes, high performance keyboards for gaming and specialty use see a huge benefit from this technology. But can you get excellent keyboards without? You bet you can – and you've found one right here.

Everything about this keyboard screams premium. Plastics are all great quality and beautifully uniform in texture and colour. The keyboard offers angle/tilt adjustments forward but not "up", which frankly is probably better for your posture and overall wrist/CT health, anyway. Unfortunately, the numeric keypad doesn't offer any kind of tilt adjustment. I found the integrated wrist rest to be one of the most comfortable I've ever used going back 40+ years (man, I wish the Commodore 64 and VIC 20 had keyboards like this back in the day!) The wrist rest is made with a textured PVC to keep you comfortable but still provide a sturdy base so you can type like a speed demon when you want to. The texture of the wrist rest feels like an expensive desk blotter. All the keys have a relatively short throw which makes speedy typing a breeze and the force required to actuate every key is a balance made in heaven. The ergonomic layout (utilizing a standard QWERTY layout for the main keyboard and split off editing and number pad keys) is just plain comfortable. Seriously, it is a joy to type on this keyboard.

Battery life is epic. It's the kind of thing you do every few months, even with heavy usage. Both the numeric keypad and main keyboard have wide-cable accessible USB C charging ports so you can use your fancy charging cables or even attach magnetic charging dongles if you prefer to go that route. PD chargers are supported! Charging is indicated by bright red LEDs on both the keyboard and keypad located between the number keys and in the top right corner, respectively. I measured charging power draw at about 1 watt, which is absolutely tiny by any standard.

Having tested ProtoArc keyboards and mice for more than a year now I decided to replace my Logitech MX Mechanical keyboards with these EK series keyboards and MX Master mouse with a ProtoArc EM series mouse. I find it much for comfortable and ergonomic for daily driving than my grossly-overpriced and online-only software-bloated Logitech gear. And the ProtoArc dongles and Bluetooth options just work – every time and all the time.

Highly recommended – ProtoArc keyboards are easily my favourite keyboards of all time!
