    This was a great solution for a common problem. We needed power and phone charging for a nightstand in an older home without adequate power outlets.     I have an office with a computer, printer, monitor, radio and charger that all needs to be plugged in in one outlet, several feet away from my desk. Since the printer and charger aren't always connected, I wanted an extension cord that I could feel safe using even if they were all in use at the same time.
