I needed a rackmount monitor, keyboard and touchpad. I started with Tripp-Lite. ONLY to find out that they are PS/2, subpar in resolution, and defective out of the box. That sent me to "try" the MT-ViKi.
Worked right out of the box. For the same price it has an 8-Port KVM built in.
-Sure, proprietary cabling, like somehow all of these units seem to be.
-Sure, inexpensive / cheap feel on the buttons.
-Sure, power brick instead of an internal PSU.
-Nonetheless, unit worked right out of the box, came with the cables as needed.
VGA to the server and (2) workstations; USB to the server and (2) workstations. Tested the KVM feature. The resolution did not scale quite correct BUT it does not matter for my needs. We can troubleshoot up to (8) systems and get them all online. Once online, we can utilize remote technologies to gain connection from a desk.
5-Stars. Unit does what it said it would do. Price was fair. All of the required components were included in the box.
