First of all, compared to the cost of a dealer charger, this is about 1/10 the cost of the dealer option, if not cheaper. So just starting out, you're saving money vs going that route.
But unlike the dealer installed option, you can take this on the road with you.
Be aware, though, that with EV chargers, there are different levels of "portability". Yes, this is "portable", but it's 240v portable. The truth is, not everywhere has a 240v hookup, so even though you can take this with you, some places won't have a plug for you to use. If you want a portable charger that you can truly use ANYWHERE, you'll want to look at a 120v option, as you can use that anywhere. Of course, this 240v charger will charge at a much faster rate than a 120v charger, by quite a bit, so in everything there are trade-offs and compromises.
It's decently fast at 32A, but not SUPER fast, has a nice screen, is waterproof, and comes in at a really good price. It's even pretty much portable, if the place you go has a 240v outlet. It's tough to find much to complain about here. 5 stars.
