Not Good for Computer Video Calls

Not Good for Computer Video Calls
I got these to use with a desktop computer for video conferencing and livestreams. They fit well, and the sound is pretty good, but the cord is stiff and is very visible, despite the low profile design. The placement of the mic/volume control makes them also virtually unadjustable.Another issue I have is that they randomly stop working from time to time. Unplugging them and "deleting" the audio device, or changing the orientation of the plug seems to work, but it is odd that they just stop working randomly.

Thank you for your feedback

To the point: EXCELLENT earbuds. My experience with this product has been great. For what it's worth, I'm a professional recording engineer. Does it make me an authority on all things audio? The answer is NO!

If you're reading this review, then YOU are going to be the expert. Hearing for the most part is like fingerprints—-everybody is different, though there is some common ground on what sounds "good." The sound quality is very well-balanced in these earbuds. Good bass, mids, and highs. They're going to be good for all around music listening during the workout, sitting at the airport—-anywhere within reason. Critical listening? Would not be my first choice, but then these earbuds are not made for the studio. Don't expect the starship Enterprise when flying a paper airplane.

Don't expect to tune the loud outside world out—-go to Bose for noise canceling. These buds are touted as, NOISE ISOLATING. I personally feel this is a catch phrase to make the consumer look twice, but I can tell you as long as you seat these earbuds with the right fit of the several choices of supplied tips, you're going to find that the "isolating" quality is fairly good at moderate volume levels, and even better when cranked up—-no brainer there, but keep in mind ear damage.

I find these buds to be quite comfortable with long periods of wear, both in and out of the ear. The '"memory" loop that goes around your ear isn't spot on, but good enough to be "worn" in with only minor adjustments every so often, and stay in place with a lot of movement – jogging, biking, and other similar activities.

The case is a nice touch and is not junk. I believe, as with most things, if you take just some obvious care i.e. use the case, don't wad the buds up, don't get them wet, etc, these will last a long time and deliver good, if not great performance for a long time.

Bottom line—-grab 'em. You can afford another pair if they get lost. At this price grab a couple of pairs. I did, and for my workouts, or tucked up under a helmet, these earbuds are a great deal that deliver great performance without paying a premium for much more expensive models.

    Hope this helps!

    Summary:
Over a year and a half of abuse: stuffed in pockets, backpacks, purses, jackets, and used daily in school, home, and physical outdoor summer work. Still work perfectly and the sound is just right for everyday use. If you want audiophile quality, by a pair of over ear phones and stay home. These, on the other hand, are perfect for real life.

    Detailed Review:
I have been using these headphones nearly everyday since I got them in November of 2011. I used them at school whenever I was in the computer lab, which meant using and abusing the jack and wrapping/unwrapping them 5 or 6 times a day. Still in perfect working order. The clip I broke my stepping on it, but it worked great till then. I use them for on the computer at home for music, YouTube, or gaming. This isn't over-ear headphone quality sound, but with the proper fitting ear pieces, I can pick up fine nuances in the music and have just enough bass to fill out the sound, all while blocking out white background noise. The sound quality has greatly improved over time. They are very clear too; I can easily hear when a song is low bit rate. The volume doesn't have to be up very loud either to get nice sound. These are by no means ear protection, but I can wear ear muffs comfortably over top of these when using power sanders at work. I use them for work in the summer, 3 or 4 days a week for 5 months in the Midwestern humidity. I work outside and had to drink 2 gallons of water a day just to keep up with the sweat. Trust me, sweat won't hurt these. I haven't had one problem with them in the entire time I've owned and used them. I lost a couple of the ear pieces just because I never used the case to transport them, but there are enough of varying sizes that I can just use a different pair. These are BY FAR the MOST COMFORTABLE earphones I've ever used. I can even fall asleep with them in and my ears aren't sore when I wake up. They NEVER have fallen out of my ears in the year and a half I've used them. The over ear design is genius because it takes a lot of stress off of your ear's cartilage in holding up normal ear buds. My ears never get sore anymore. I haven't found the angled plug to be a problem as it fits both of my iPod touch cases, one an otterbox commuter and the other a griffin survivor, my home PC, tablet, and every school computer I've used. The fit only takes a day or so to get used to. As long as you read the instructions, you'll be golden. Also, the cost to value ratio is unbelievable. I can use these at school and work and not worry about being out two weeks pay if I lose them or they get broken. Buy them.

    Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis

Reviewed in Germany on December 3, 2012

    Style: 3.5mm WiredColor: ClearVerified Purchase

    Klare Kaufempfehlung!!!

    Goldilocks of headphones

Reviewed in Canada on October 31, 2024

    Style: 3.5mm Wired+MicColor: BlackVerified Purchase

I LOVE these headphones, i refer to them as the goldilocks of headphones because Ive tried several different options for earbuds…i prefer ones like this that go over the ear to stay in place better and fit comfortably. I did have a different brand i was using before this but i had to replace them about once a month because i have a bad habit of dropping my tablet and the straight plug in design made it bend every time. Amazon stopped selling them so i tried Linsoul…which i did really like due to the L shaped plug like these have but it did no have volume control which i thought id be ok without but ended up missing more than i thought i would. These have the L shaped plug to prevent me from breaking and have volume control pause/play and go over my ears very comfortably (i do wish the controls were slightly lower though). I only use to listen to audiobooks so cant speak to how bass would sound for music but they are fantastic for my purpose. I will edit review if they dont last or break. (Ive already dropped my tablet though and cord was fine) I have already ordered a backup pair because i dont want to need them and find out amazon has stopped selling them, they are just too perfect for my needs not to have a backup.

The first earbuds that actually fit me

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 17, 2012

    Style: 3.5mm WiredColor: ClearVerified Purchase

My problem..I have small ear canals.

Having used numerous earbuds from the 1980s it has been an neverending struggle to find ones that will have a good sound production and will stay in my ears without continuously slipping out. The good enough sound quality has been quite easy to fulfill with the market selection of earbuds but it has been truly a quest for the nonexistant to find earbuds that once adjusted, stay in without slowly slipping out of my ears. The problem is exaggerated during any physical movement, let it be walking on street or bicycling.

I won't even go to the epic failure of my past year's earbuds. You know the designs from 1980-2000s.. none seemed as if they were designed to stick in my ears.. one thing was sure, my ears are not the standard size!

I should probably mention though, that my last earbuds before purchasing Meelectronics M6s were my Samsung mobile's earbuds. The same old problem, I can sort of fit them with the smallest rounded tips but they start to slide out fairly quickly. Even when sitting on a public transportation. The cable friction on my jacket collar and wire routing through clothing, and the listening device weight all produce a combo of factors that drag the earbuds of any manufacture from my ears.

That is…until I went on a once-again desperate internet search of what's out there for us small ear canal freaks. Must I really resort to children's Hello Kitty earbuds? Then I saw a review on Meelectronics M6s. Someone said they fit his/her ears prefectly when no other earbuds would. I clinged to it. I followed the hot trail, checked the manufacturer website and knew I was onto something. The M6s actually looked anatomically designed. The problem of finding them was finally solved by Amazon.co.uk. I was excited to say the least. I couldn't wait for try them!

So then the day came, they arrived and I got to fondle and try them. It's been a love story since..

Simply put: they fit in my ear canals perfectly and stay there. The sensation of clear high quality sound finally filled my head and didn't fade with the sliding off if the earbuds. I can't really explain how these moderately priced earbuds made my listening experience so much more pleasurable as sounds mean a world to me.

One thing I should probably mention is, that the come with various earbud tips. So these are not just for my freak ears, the general design is aimed at anyone needing earbuds that fit and stay on.

What really make the M6s good in my experience is:
    – good quality sound. The fitting inside ear canal is everything in earbuds. If the fit is poor no good sound can be expected. M6s fit so well and I feel the lows to the highs.
    – the earbud tips are curved as seem to be my ear canals. When I insert them the really follow and fill the earcanal with little effort. Im no doctor but it would seem that anatomically speaking we all have the same design in our canals and the variation is in sizes and lengths?
    – the earbud frames and the attached wiring curve around the top part of your ear helixes preventing the drag from below. For physical excercise and movement, this is a very smart design feature.
    – the cabling is robust, it's slightly thicker wiring than what is the norm. This has given me trust that the quite common pull from the device below the earbuds won't easily break anything.
    – small but great feature, there's a movable clip on the wiring to lock the cable in position and prevent the pull from the device. The thing is, clips are not too common in earbuds and this little thing solves a frequent problem.
    – the transparent color of this particular model is pleasing to me, I don't get satisfaction from black stuff hanging from my ears and this color scheme sort of melts in better without looking all security oriented.
    – low profile hard eva case that will protect your M6s and you can fit it anywhere.

So there you have it. I quess I could just say.. I fully recommend them for anyone looking for earbuds that really fit and stay on during a physical excercise 🙂
