Excellent, best value EV charger!
Excellent EV charger! This replaced an older, generic charger, and it's significantly better in many ways. The display is wonderful, showing all the necessary info. The amp adjustability is a must if you're using this on a 30-amp dryer line, which I am. I also ended up replacing the old 10-30 dryer receptacle with the newer, EV-rated, 14-50R receptacle. This is actually to code only if the dryer receptacle is the only receptacle on the one circuit, which most are. On 24 amps, I am able to charge my '24 Chevy Blazer EV around 20 miles per charging hour, while my wife's '25 Kia Niro EV charges around 24 miles per hour. The highest temperature that I've seen while charging is only 104 deg. The only downside is that this charger stays warm at around 96 deg. when not in use. I've only been using this for less than a month and will update if I come upon an issue.

    I'm very pleased with the product.

    It's easy to use. No phone app needed to control it.
    Very good value for the money.
    Build quality appears solid, no failures or problems so far in the past several weeks we've owned the charger.
    The charging speed is exactly as expected from the listed product stats.
    It provides session charge info on the front panel of the charger, if you're interested.

    We use this charger in combination with an inexpensive $20 adapter to charge an AWD extended range Tesla. No issues or problems with doing that. The car interfaces with the unit seamlessly.

    A couple of notes:
    Make sure you know the amperage rating for the receptacle (outlet) you plan to use and set the unit to not go over 80% of that rating, or you will have tripped breakers. Just look at the breaker for the outlet and read the number.

    For example:
    When plugged into a NEMA 14-50 (50 Amp) receptacle we set the unit to its max charging rate of 32 Amp.
    When plugged into a NEMA 14-30 (30 Amp) clothes dryer receptacle (by using an adapter plug/cable) we set the charging rate to 24 Amp. (80% of 30 Amp = 24 Amp)
    No problems with either scenario. No overheating or tripped breakers.

    While the unit comes with a NEMA 14-50 plug as standard, it will NOT deliver 40 Amps of charging speed. It is not meant to. Bear this in mind when considering the unit. If you REALLY want 40 Amps of charging speed look at a different (and more expensive) adapter.
    However, we have NOT found the 32 Amp max charge rate, or even the more limited 24 Amp charge rate (when charging from a clothes dryer outlet) to be a significant limitation in getting the car charged fully, in a reasonable time, while it is parked at home. Even with the battery down to 10% it will charge to whatever level you set it to long before the night is over. For our daily needs it's usually done within an hour or two. Obviously YMMV if you drive a lot of miles every day.

    We like this charger so much that we bought a second one to keep in the car for travel.

    I recently purchased a Chrysler Pacifica Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. The stock 110 volt charger takes about 13 hours to charge the 16kWh battery. The onboard charger maxes out at 6,600 watts (27.5 Amps). I was looking for a Level 2 charger that could do at least 24 Amps and I came across this multi Amp charger. I have tested charging many times. The charger starts at 0 amps, and then ramps up slowly until it hits 26 amps. I was able to play around and there are 5 different settings that you can set the charger for. This would be great for anyone who either wants to charge at a slower rate, or needs to limit the charge because of what size their circuit breaker is. The charging limits you can set are 10A/16A/20A/24A/32A.

    Overall, I really like this charger. I opted to install this charger on a Nema 14-50 recepticle with a 50 Amp breaker in my breaker panel.

We didn’t realize this was the case until we accumulated 3000 in electric bills and saw our bill go down once we unplugged the charged from the wall outlet as we also unplugged the car.     I originally thought it would be convenient for charging at home, saving me some hassle. However, after using it a few times, I was completely disappointed. This charger gets incredibly hot while charging. It's especially hot outside in the summer, and the charger feels incredibly hot to the touch. I'm afraid to keep using it now, fearing safety issues.
