Self-Powered HDMI to USB-C Adapter Box – Functional with Some Fit Quirks
A useful self-powered HDMI to USB-C box that delivers stable video output and powers streaming sticks well, though some fit and power delivery quirks make setup less smooth. I have been using this with a portable power supply for a usb-c monitor to have as a bring-along entertainment system which ahs been working out quite well. Even though I need the extra battery pack, this does simplify the process vs before having multiple wires everywhere. Pros: * Provides sufficient power to HDMI streaming sticks without extra adapters * Runs stable as long as the connected devices don’t exceed power limits * Accepts wireless receivers with no issues (lid must stay open for antenna clearance) * Simple case design with straightforward power on/off control * Clean, clear video output without artifacts during use Cons: * Initial HDMI stick insertion was difficult to impossible due to misaligned port pressure points; required manual adjustment/fixing. Afterwards removing/inserting is no longer an issue. * Short USB-C to micro-USB cable doesn’t align well with Fire TV Stick dimensions, causing cable bunching and slight sideways pressure * Shuts down when used with portable USB-C monitors without external power, and requires power cycling to recover * Stick warms up inside the enclosed shell; high-power sticks could heat up quickly Improvements: * Better internal hdmi alignment and a more flexible power cable would greatly improve ease of setup * Additional ventilation or a vented lid would help manage internal heat

    I recently took this adapter with me on a trip and it exceeded my expectations. Setting it up was easy. I unplugged my Fire Stick from my TV at home, connected it to the adapter, and plugged it into my AR glasses. Within seconds it was up and running. The picture quality was sharp and clear with no lag or stutter even while streaming in 4K at 60Hz. Movies and shows looked just as good as they do on a regular screen and the sound stayed perfectly in sync.

    One of the best parts is the battery. The 5000mAh capacity held up well. I was able to watch for several hours on my flight without worrying about the charge. The battery indicator on the side made it easy to know how much power was left. This gave me peace of mind since I did not have to constantly check or guess. For longer trips, you could always bring a power bank and recharge it but for my use it lasted more than enough.

    It is also very portable. The adapter is about the size of a small power bank so it fits in a pocket or bag easily. It does not get hot while in use which is a huge plus. I had it in my pocket for a short while but I recommend leaving it on a tray or flat surface when sitting for a long time. The case is sturdy and made of strong plastic that feels durable. It also secures the Fire Stick in place so there is no concern about it disconnecting or getting damaged while traveling.

    Another detail I liked is that it works anywhere with Wi-Fi. On the plane I connected the Fire Stick to my phone’s hotspot and was able to stream my own shows. This is great for situations where you do not want to rely on whatever entertainment is provided. At home it worked just as well. You can plug it into monitors or other displays with USB-C ports which makes it versatile beyond just travel.

    Overall this adapter does everything it promises and makes AR glasses much more practical for everyday use. If you own a Fire Stick and travel often this is a must have accessory. Just make sure not to forget your remote since you will need it to control the Fire Stick.

    This adapter works perfectly with my Xreal glasses and Fire Stick 4k Max. It’s super portable and easy to carry around, which I really like. I just wish it had an SD card slot or a USB port for watching movies offline since the Fire Stick supports OTG. It does get a bit hot when the case is closed, so I leave it open sometimes to help it cool down. Some vents or a small fan would have made it even better.

    I am now playing my Switch 1 and 2 on my Lenovo Glass AR glasses thanks to this Lemorele HDMI to USB-C adapter!! It works very well and so easy to use. Since the Switch requires being plugged-in to output video, there are limits to how portable the whole setup is (thanks Nintendo), but I use this on my nightstand with my Switch 2 in the dock and the HDMI cable from the dock going straight into this adapter. It's awesome. Anyone who owns AR glasses should have this versatile adapter.

    So, hear me out, I really don't care to use a fire stick with this or anything like that. I'm sure it would work. I have a wireless HDMI transmitter / receiver so I can hook it up to anything with HDMI out. My gaming laptop gets hot, the screen isn't the best, and the fans are really loud. With this, I can sit away from the heat box, give it proper ventilation, and have a comfortable sitting position with a reasonably good view all the time. I pair it with my TCL nextware glasses and it works pretty well.
