This was a very good purchase. The thermostat works like a charm. Easy to set up and install, the app is intuitive and user friendly. I set this up for a dog house, connected to a 400 watts heater to keep temperature between 19 and 20 celsius degrees. You just need to set up max temp and min temp, and the thermostat will let electricity run to the heater every-time the minimum temperature is reached. Will also stop when max temperature is reached. It is very easy to see in the app the metrics of how much time the heater was on. On top of everything, it is inexpensive.

    Works fantastically. Using it to control a powerful underwater fan bubbler to keep winter ice away from our boat. 6 am 800 watt 120v unit. This handles it like a charm. I can manually turn it on and off from anywhere with my phone and I have set it to automatically come on and off when the water freezes, preventing damage to the boat. I have tested it with several cold/hot scenarios and as long as the unit has wifi access, it has worked flawlessly. Highly recommend!

    I needed a cheap emergency refrigerator.

    And had an old 7cubic foot chest freezer. Set this thermostat to turn freezer on at 40F and turn off at 34F. Stuck the probe down into the freezer. Bingo, I have good little refrigerator for the cost of the thermostat. Its been rock solid in performance. Keeps food better than some real refrigerators that I have had. Electric has went off couple times since installing it and no problem, it remembers and recovers. I would definitely buy another. Thinking of getting another to control box fan aimed at my woodstove. Very adaptable little gadget for heating and cooling applications and seem well made. My only problem with any electronics with a display, is how long until the display becomes unreadable. Hopefully thats a long time away. Also nice that it shows current temp inside the freezer, well refrigerator now.

    Purchased this for a 55 gallon aquarium to control a 200 watt heater and to be able to see the temperature reading more easily, as apposed to looking at the thermometer in the aquarium. This item was pretty easy to set up and I really like the alarm option it provides, if you want to know if the temperature ever gets to a range (too high or too low) you're concerned with. I set it to come on at 82 degrees and turn off at 83 degrees. It has a very nice display and a white backlit screen that comes on when you push a button, or you can set the screen stay backlit all the time. I also like that it lets you know when the outlet is on (sending power to what is plugged into it) with a small icon that kind of looks like a sun at the top left of the screen. I really wish I'd thought of using something like this to control an aquarium heater years ago, as this is a much easier way to set the temperature to the desired setting, as apposed to controlling it from the heater itself. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best way to run a heater for aquariums!
