I am the health ministries leader at my church, and wanted a hot plate that I could demonstrate cooking on for a cooking class. So I got this hot plate. I brought my All-Clad stainless steel stock pot to demonstrate how to make oat burgers – it boiled the water and Bragg's Liquid Aminos in record time. I was able to add the oats live and didn't have to wait too long. I like that you can make fine adjustments to the temperature if you want. It was a little difficult to tell that it was on because it is not like a traditional convection cooktop, it's induction, so it doesn't "feel" as hot, but it boils stuff in record time.

    This is an extremely nice, sleek looking induction cook top. It looks amazing and I love that it's digital because it retains that completely smooth surface. I did have to play around with it, while reading the instructions, to figure it out. This is the first one I've owned, so I had to learn. It didn't take long. Maybe 5 minutes…lol I did learn that it is very picky about the type and size of pot or pan you use. Now, the quickness in heating things is crazy fast. If you need something brought to a boil within a few minutes, this will do it. Very fast! I do like all the different functions it has. You have quite a bit of control over power and temperature. The noise level isn't bad, but you can hear it working. It's very easy to clean because of the smooth surface. A gentle wiping is all it needs after use. This has been a lot of fun for me…and very useful. This is one of those things I would love to give as gifts to my friends and family. Very cool, great quality, excellent function.

    I purchased this because I don't use the stove in my travel trailer but sometimes want to fry an egg. This fits the bill perfectly because I can use my solar power station to power it if I happen to be off grid, or just want to save power and $. The variable wattage for heat fits my needs to a T. I did plug it in at the house and used it. I tried 1100 but actually only needed 900 to fry the perfect egg. I am pleased with the performance. My only issue, (but it's not really an issue) is the weight. It is a bit heavy.
