Good transfer speed

5 out of 5 stars

Good transfer speed
The transfer speed is very close to the advertised specs. I am currently using it with a 2TB WD SSD with a pre installed heat sink, and it works flawlessly. The fan noise is minimal and barely noticeable during transfers. The only thing to watch out for is not accidentally tipping the glass cover when moving things around on the desk near it. Overall, it has met my expectations and definitely offers good value for the money.

It works well with my Mac Studio.

The fan is very quiet (almost silent) but personally I’d prefer a slightly louder fan that moves more air. Still, it seems to keep SSDs cool for short period at least, and I mostly use this for just a few minutes at a time to check what’s on a drive or to grab a few files.

I prefer a more permanent enclosure for anything I leave attached to my Mac but this is good for preparing NVMe disks to be installed inside other computers, checking to see what’s on them, or making copies.

I think that this is an absolutely wonderful product and I greatly enjoy using it. There is nothing about the product that I do not like. If you are working with a lot of NVME drives it is quite easy to remove the one that you have finished working on and then insert another one. THERE IS ONE THING THAT I WANT TO MENTION. YOU CAN READ AN WRITE TO ANY MICRON/CRUCIAL NVME SOLID STATE DRIVE THAT HAS BEEN FORMATTED and YOU CAN FORMAT and CHANGE PARTITIONS USING THIS ENCLOSURE. YOU CANNOT USE THIS ENCLOSURE IN CONJUNCTION WITH MICRON/CRUCIAL's STORAGE EXECUTIVE PROGRAM TO MODIFY THE FIRMWARE OF THE NVME SOLID STATE DRIVE AND YOU CANNOT EXAMINE S.M.A.R.T. PARAMTERS. THE STORAGE EXECUTIVE PROGRAM SIMPLY DOES NOT RECOGNIZE DRIVES THAT ARE ATTACHED TO THIS INTERFACE.

Its just a beautiful piece to set next to my Alien 👽 M18 R2 gaming laptop. Like I said its functionl even though I'm only seeing 650MBps (about 5.0 gbps). I was promised 7.5gbps. Its still fast AND BEAUTIFUL. I emailed this company about 2 months ago and complained that they only had 10mbps speeds. Now they have 40mbps so I jumped and boughy one. They perform adequately so I will be buying more. Did I mention that this are works of art ? They need to include the pure copper heatsink (as I have pictured) to justify the beauty. It only costs a few bucks more. O and they need lighting FX. I will b adding my own but they need it. Did I mention this is a beautiful piece of art ? Lol

First off, don't believe the Amazon vine reviews! 2nd, this is junk. Really disappointed. I thought the design was actually kind of cool but it is cheaply made and has several issues. The biggest annoyance is the fan is super noisy and you can't turn it off without disconnecting the drive from the computer. They should have included a separate on / off switch for the fan. The round clear plastic tower does not fit well, they need to re- think how it sits in the base. The usb connection is cheap and doesn't plug in very well. Until they fix these items, you should pass on this. It's not worth its price tag and I highly recommend you don't buy it. Hopefully they are listening, and will improve it with a future release. If they make those changes I would consider buying it again.

I was able to get 2900-3000 mbps read/write speeds with these and I was amazed. It’s a solid product with an excellent look. I ended up returning it because of concerns of dust due to open top design.

If you have a stationary setup, this is perfect. The look is awesome and the setup was easy, the speeds were impressive.

Nie polecam – obudowa ma zbyt niestabilna

Reviewed in Poland on February 19, 2025

    Minusy:
