I previously owned a Fellow Stagg EKG+ kettle. I loved the ability to turn it on using an app since I work on the 2nd floor, and my kitchen is on the 1st floor. Overall, I really liked the Stagg kettle, but my wife hated it since it has a very low flow rate out of the spout. It is good for making pour-over coffee, but it's annoying for her when she makes tea. Our Stagg EKG+ finally died and I had to find a replacement. Stagg has a new updated kettle (EKG Pro), but it's more expensive and has the same restricted flow rate.
I looked around and it's surprising how few WiFi enabled electric kettles exist. I finally found the Govee and I was suspicious since it is really affordable. I was used to overpaying for WiFi-enabled devices. I bought it and I couldn't be happier – it is perfect for me and my wife who drinks tea!
Pros:
1. Remote on/off via WiFi and the Govee app
2. Ability to schedule in advance using the app
3. Decent flow rate (much faster than the Stagg EKG kettle)
4. The "Hold temperature" button works even if you take the kettle off and put it back on the base. Some kettles turn off the "hold" when you take the kettle off the base. For pour-over coffee drinkers, it's common pre-wet the filter and pre-wet the coffee grounds before doing the full pour of water. This means you'll take the kettle off the base at least 3 times when making coffee. It's nice to maintain the "hold" of the temperature throughout the process.

7. The kettle is a great value – affordable with nice quality. It is definitely a much better value than the Stagg EKG kettle

Cons:
1. The app allows you to schedule heating of water in advance, but it is a one-time schedule. You can't (yet) set up a recurring schedule (e.g., heat up water every morning at 5:45am).
2. The volume of the kettle is 0.8 L which is small. It's enough to make a single cup of coffee or tea, but just barely. You'll have to refill each time – slow if you are making more than one cup at a time.
3. The looks are just ok to me – I think the Stagg EKG kettle looks better, but this is subjective and doesn't affect the taste of my coffee 🙂
In short, I recommend the Govee kettle and I'm very happy with the app and remote WiFi features!

Using this every day — it heats up really fast, and you can actually track the temperature and keep it hot for as long as you need.
I find it super functional for making coffee or matcha at home, and not only that — it’s absolutely gorgeous!
Best of all, I finally got rid of my old plastic kettle — this one’s much healthier.
The app tells you everything, and you can even link it with Alexa or Google!
WORTH EVERY CENT!!

This kettle is fantastic heats well and reliably, can be set to a time with the app, as well as displaying the temperature, will hold at a temperature and is very easy to pour with great flow.

I wanted to upgrade my pourover coffee game a little bit without going too crazy. I wanted a gooseneck kettle that was temperature controlled, had good ratings, had decent pre-sets (since I also drink tea and cocoas) and figured since I’m paying more for the temperature control I might as well find one that can also be controlled remotely— I was looking at another brand but was super put off by the price tag. Honestly the only thing that brand had over this gooseneck kettle is the different color scheme (I would have preferred white or pink but sometimes one has to suck it up and go with what is going to be more practical in the end.
I trust Govee products. I already have the app on my phone and iPad and I’ve dealt with their customer service before (they are so helpful and patient.) I felt really comfortable buying this kettle knowing that if anything goes wrong in the future the company is here for me. The app detected this new kettle right away, connected and allowed me to control the kettle both through the kettle base and through the app. I put it through a few different boils with fresh water so there wouldn’t be any residual factory taste. My first cup was PERFECT. The temperature hold feature is amazing and I’m so happy I can start a boil before starting my commute home and have hot water ready and waiting for me.
Looks nice (even though it’s not white or pink) and I love the styling of the handle and lid knob with the kettle profile. Super easy to clean. Warms up FAST. I’m so excited and feel really good about this purchase.

As someone who is starting formula feeding and doesn’t want to buy the baby brezza bc of all the maintenance it requires , THIS IS THE BEST PRODUCT EVER!!! I fill it with distilled water and whenever my baby wakes up from her nap I turn on the kettle from my phone and set it to 104 in the custom mode. It literally heats the water up in 1 minute and I scoop the formula in. It’s the perfect temp every time and it’s so quick and convenient. Better than any other bottle prepping product. Of course I use it for other teas and coffee but that’s my favorite feature! AMAZING it has made my life more convenient. Nothing on the market like this.

The best thing about this kettle is the connection with the mobile app is seamless and every time I open the app it has zero lacks and gets connected easily. I can set temperatures and it will boil to that temperature temperature.
The only problem is that sometimes even when the Water level is well below the max line, the water will boil out of the kettle and spill which is really very annoying as I have to be standing in front of the kettle while the thing is boiling.
