I was looking for a window film to darken my rooms, instead I found this. Plus I'm upstairs, I don't mind the heat. I just wanted to be able to see out my windows. I read the reviews, I was scared cuz I'm the ONLY person doing this. I'm seriously proud of myself over this 😊 I suppose 2 people would be ok, it's just me. So I HAVE no choice but to do it myself, I thought this through many times. Had this all figured out how I was gonna do it, till I put the film up against the window to see how it fit. To my surprise, it fit good & my plan would work. I ey the window down like I was suppose to, I peeled the clear plastic away & it stuck. ….. Like that's it, I had to peel it away(which is the HARDEST) part. Once I figured out how to do this, which…. Is easy, I was good. Wet down the window, till water is running down the window. Then carefully put the film on it, y'all don't need 2 people. There will be bubbles, don't worry bout them. Make sure it fits the way y'all want it to, then cut the film of the roll ……. Yes, I left mine in the roll to see how it fit. It worked great, my ONLY complaint is there isn't enough on that roll to do ALL my windows. I got 1 frame done, I had to order 5 more rolls for my other windows. That's ok, I'm gonna see this afternoon how good this stuff is. I'm out proud of myself for doing things that according to society "y'all need a guy in y'all life" no I don't. I can do this ALL by myself, I've been self sufficient since I was a kid. I'm 53, I did the exact opposite of what every review said to do. I'm not a perfectionist, I'm germophic. I will make sure no bubbles are left by the end of the day. I'm pretty happy with this, so far 😊 by the by, I live in Oklahoma where it's 110 out right now. So if this helps with keeping my upstairs unit cool & runs my air less (which is set to 80) then I'll be happy. UPDATE::::::::: I went through & fixed them so they don't over lap, it wasn't that bad. It took me a minute, but y'all can still do this even with 1 person. I'm no where near perfectionist, if y'all get the window wet enough (good luck on this, as y'all are spraying it's drying 🤦 it can be done. Maybe NOT in 110 heat) I got them done, I'll tape the corners down cuz that's what it is driving me crazy. Even on the 1s I didn't redo, that's ok. I'll tape them down, other then that…… The sun is on me yet I don't feel the heat, I like being able to see outside. I like that my air isn't running constantly. This was worth the price, I got it on sale plus click the 6% discount & it was only $9.99……a roll, that's not bad. I got 5 more rolls, so I have extra. I'm working on getting an ESA & service dog, I'll see next year how they handle this. If need be I'll UPDATE on that too. 😊 I will buy again if I need more

    This film has no distortion. PET is much clearer than vinyl I had up before. It's not thick, but definitely thicker than tint I installed before.
    The blue color is a great option. Bronze can make view seem smoggy, dark tint can make my small room feel compressed. This blue is nice and airy and helps the sky look its best.
    I saw that this had low reviews, but this is quality material.
    It was loosing stars because of the difficulty of installation. BUT tint in general is no walk in the park. It's not about IQ, but rather patience, experience, and being handy.
    My result was excellent. I recommend if you like a clear view, daytime privacy, less heat, and color options.
    Tips-Definitely do when window is cool and you have a full tank of patience.
    Lay your piece on a table that will support the entire piece. Masking tape it to table peel side up so it doesn't roll back up on you when measuring for cuts
    If the protective film is hard to peel, stick masking tape on a corner, work it, and it will separate. Look closely because protective film is so clear, it is hard to see you are successful.
    To start peeling, hold it down on an edge with your fingers and peel it with other hand downward rather than away from tint and it will be possible to do solo. Don't worry if you tack a fingerprint on the edge, it will be trimmed off later.
    I had the best results sizing pieces using scissors with an inch extra all the way around. I used the supplied knife to do final trimming.
    Trying to line up a factory edge with a side takes too much time and too much adjusting.
    Just go an inch bigger all around so you can grab the extra to peel away remnants.
    I used a drywall mud knife to pin the tint to the edge of the frame where I cut excess. That made things stay put and the cut tight and straight.
    The rest like cleaning glass, spraying water, squeegee process is in the directions. Best of luck.

    It works but by far the hardest installation of window film I’ve done. It works if you know what to do.
    – ITS STICKY like VERY sticky. It will stick to itself and anything else and crinkle and you can’t get the crinkles out.
    – The instructions say to pull off the protective film and then spray it with soapy water. PEEL AND SPRAY AT THE SAME TIME. The second you spray it, it won’t stick to itself anymore and makes it so much easier to apply (and move if you’re like me and realize you didn’t line it up correctly the first time you placed it.)
    – It comes with a squeegee. Get a better one. It works but not well – you could get much better quality ones that help more.
    – You can do this without anyone else… but if you have someone to help make them help.

    Results in pictures — before I learned everything vs after. If you make the same mistakes I did, it still works but doesn’t look as nice. I have to order another roll to fix it (otherwise my cats will tear it apart.)

    I have done a lot of car window tint installs as well as the static cling for in houses and removable for cars but this was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to work with!

    As for blocking out light it’s great but I literally lathered it in glass cleaner the film and the window itself and as soon as I pulled apart the cellophane it instantly crumbled in and stuck to its self all over the place

    It works great! But definitely buy a little extra in case that happens to you as well you can try again

    In my case I bought it on a whim and only bought the exact amount I needed so the top looks like shit and the bottom looks greats hahaha
