It works, but it could be better
I have had this "Smart" watch for almost a year now, so I have had quite a bit of use with it. I originally purchased this watch to track my daily steps for one of the wellness programs that my company requires us to do each year for insurance reasons. This watch was fairly cheap and had a step counter built in, so I decided to buy it.What it does well.It is definitely water proof, I have soaked it with water countless times while washing my hands. I also took it on a float trip this past summer so I could keep track of the time, I had it submerged in the river multiple times for extended periods of time and it had no issues.Battery life is great, I can get almost 2 weeks of use out of it (just using it as a step counter and watch) before needing to charge. It also charges very quickly, when it's around 20% it will fully charge to 100% in about an hourThe heart rate monitor seems to work well, although I don't use it that often, and I can't really speak to it's accuracy.Build quality. I work maintenance in a factory, and I have been wearing this watch at work for a little over a year now and it has held up quite well to daily abuse and getting smacked around while I'm working, I'm honestly a little surprised that I haven't broken the screen or broken one of the strap mounts. The bad.First off, the app isn't great, whenever you want to sync the watch with the app you have to have your Bluetooth and location on. It's quite annoying that it needs to know your location just to sync the watch. The app also stays running in the background the whole time, even while you're not using it, so I have to force stop it. I may just be nit picking, but I had a Sony smart watch back in highschool and I only had to turn the Bluetooth on when I wanted to connect it to my phone, I also didn't have to use a cheap looking app to sync the watch with. The app also does not allow you to download additional watch faces, so you are stuck with the 4 pre-loaded faces that come on the watch. This watch also looses time, I normally only sync the watch to the app once a week or once every two weeks, unfortunately if the watch is not synced daily it will start too loose time, I have gone 2 weeks without syncing to the app and it has been almost 3 minutes slow. It's not the biggest issue in the world but it is quite annoying to deal with.Overall the watch isn't bad for the price, I can definitely say that if you are needing a cheap watch to keep time with, and one that will hold up too abuse very well, then it's worth it.But I will also say that you can get an older higher end smart watch for about $20 more that has a lot more function and will be more worth your money.Edit:I am updating my review to 3 stars. Although the build quality has definitely surpassed my expectations, the watch UI definitely leaves you wanting more. The app also recently updated, and although it does look quite a bit nicer on the surface, it is basically the same as the old app, and you still have to have your phones location and Bluetooth on to sync with the watch. The updated app also runs in the background until you force stop it.If I were to buy another "smart" watch, I can honestly say I would probably not pick this watch, and would go with a name brand watch that has more useful options and a friendlier UI.

I don’t get what some of these reviews are talking about. I love this watch! It does everything I need it to do and more that I don’t even use. I track all my cardio workouts on it (running and elliptical) and save them in the app. Only main problems I have with it is that on outdoor runs it’s not tracking my mile splits anymore and it used to. So that’s frustrating. It tracks them in outdoor walk mode though so maybe I just need to update the app or something. And I also can’t get it out of European mode for the date (day first then month), which annoying but not a huge deal. I also don’t trust wearing it in water because when I did that the screen said “water draining” so I decided not to do that anymore. Other than that, I’ve had this watch for over 7 months now and I love it. I can’t believe it was so inexpensive for all that it does!

So my Fitbit of 4+ years was getting beat up pretty good. Battery went from 5 days to about 3, so I thought I would replace it. After checking the price tag of $200, I decided to look for alternatives. I was hesitant in ordering this Fitpolo watch, but for the price point, I had to give it a try.

I must say, that it arrived fast, and was exactly as described. Functionality was beyond the Fitbit. Set up was fast and easy, especially since it came fully charged. I don't need any of the fancy functions, just time, date, alarm, steps, heart rate, and sleep. It does all that and more! I like that it also give me my local weather as my wife is always asking me what the temperature is, and I would have to open my phone and check the app. Not any more!

While I don't use it for calls or messaging, that function is also included and works well when I tested it. While there is a huge selection of clock faces, almost all of them have way more than I prefer. I use the basic digital one, but even that has more info than I need. Lots of faces to choose from for free or for a minimal fee <$1.

I really needed a watch that would let me set an alarm, and this one can set multiple ones just like my Fitbit. So far, battery life is superb. A day and a half in it is at 81%, so it looks like I will certainly get close to a week in between charges.

I suppose the only thing I don't like is that it does not shut off the display automatically at night when I am sleeping. I have to set that manually each night before I go to bed, otherwise every time I move my arm the display will light up. Not a huge problem, but one to be aware of.

Ultimately, for the price point of ~$40, it certainly replaces my Fitbit completely and while I may not get 4+ years out of it, I am saving $$$ in the mean time.

I am hoping that some of the reviews saying the watch malfunctions after a month are flukes, as I really like this watch and am hoping it was the right purchase.

    UPDATE: 8/30/2023
I don't think this smartwatch tracks my heart rate accurately. When I walk or od indoor exercise, I have noticed my heart rate drops and stays low sometimes – when I expect it to be above 130 bpm, it goes down to 80-90. This affects the calories burned, with the watch showing burning about 1 calory every minute when the heart rate is low.

I just received a new fitness tracker (a bit more expensive with great reviews by professionals) today and have been wearing both. I tried walking a little. My new one says my heart rate is 135 bpm while this one says 91 bpm. I will do a few more tests throughout the day when I need a break from work, but I already kind of knew that this is not reliable.

When I bought this smartwatch, I really wanted to monitor my heart rate and maybe count my steps. I wasn't very invested in fitness. Only a little interested in adopting a healthy lifestyle. Now that I have been much more committed to it, I think it's time to say goodbye to this smartwatch.

UPDATE: 12/11/2022, From 3 Stars to 1 Star
The watch no longer tracks my heart rate at all. The sleep tracking has been unreliable for at least a couple of weeks. The step counter is the only thing that seems to be working. This is a really cheap smartwatch, but it's disappointing that it has declined in its performance so rapidly. I guess it's just a typical Chinese product – works great for the first few weeks to get positive customer reviews, and stops working quickly.

UPDATE: 11/22/2022, From 5 Stars to 3 Stars
I have been using this watch every day since I got it. It was great initially, but I started to notice declines in performance. For example, it loses sleep, activity, and heart rate data randomly and sometimes it backfills itself but I won't get the data fully back – there are still days of data missing that used to be recorded on the app. It no longer receives notifications for emails and calls (I don't know about other notifications because I have only had calls and emails notifs on). I see that other reviewers were saying that the battery life was great, but mine usually lasts for 2-3 days. I wonder if it's because of Bluetooth being always on to send the data to the app, but I'm not very impressed. At this price point, I guess this was expected.

    Original Review:
I've been using this for a few days and I like it a lot. It was easy to set up with the app, and it charges quickly. I bought this to monitor my heart rate because I have somewhat frequent heart palpitations especially when I'm stressed out. In addition to seeing a cardiologist, I think the ability to monitor how my heart is doing is great. Sleep tracking seems accurate enough, too, which makes me feel more conscious of my overall health. Since this is my first smartwatch to own, so I don't know if it's really good in comparison to other smartwatches, but so far, I'm not disappointed and glad that I got this. It's really nice to have a reminder on my wrist to take better care of my health!

When contact fitpolo they said you have not buy through our shop. You bought it from some seller name. But I bought it only in Amazon. So it is waste of money to buy this product which cannot provide after sale service

    Heart Rate Monitor Dangerously Inaccurate!

Reviewed in Australia on October 13, 2021

I purchased this watch months ago and so I wanted to write a review from experience, not as soon as I see it.
After using it for months when exercising hard and running I was concerned by the fact the heart rate numbers shown afterwards were hitting a maximum of 119, despite being severely out of breath during the run. I was starting to think there was something I needed to look into with my heart's health.

After checking my heart rate with a timer and counting to make sure it is accurate I found it was 168. That's a massive difference and cause for concern. It can influence the user to push themselves harder to obtain a higher heart rate from exercise as I was starting to, which could lead to overloading the heart and heart attacks.

If you buy this watch don't use the heart rate monitor, its a complete waste of time and may lead to dangerous health situations!
