There is a lot to like about the fitcamx. I recently installed one in my Polestar 2 and I am very pleased with the results.
First off, if you want something that looks like it came from the factory, there is simply no better choice. This goes beyond hiding the wires to a seamless design.
Installation is also very simple, especially if you can use mirror wiretap as with the Polestar. These are popular enough that you will likely find online instructions and videos specific to your vehicle. I had front and rear done in less than an hour, running wire to rear representing the bulk of that time.
Video quality is excellent. I have several dashcams from various brands, this is as good as any of them. I won’t say it is the best you can buy, but it is more than adequate for 95% of people and use cases.
The app works well.
I am also impressed with Fitcam support. I did have an issue with rear camera interfering with FM. I contacted support and the immediately sent out a replacement.
The one thing that this does not have, which is an important feature to many people, is GPS tracking / logging. Thus, when you review video it does not include that information.
