Does the hub require power? When yes, what connection is used on the hub? Where is the charger connected?

Yes. It uses the computer’s USB-C port power. If the computer like uses USB-C port to power the laptop then the power cable gets connected to the hub and the USB-C connector of the hub gets connected to the computer. Hub requires less than 5W to run.

Does the EZQuest X40030 have a true, full performance, Thunderbolt 3 connection? Is it 40 Gbps?

Yes, our X40030 is USB-C 10Gb Hub that is compatible with Thunderbolt 3 but is not 40Gb.
