Overprice but does the job
A 48MP camera that's over $100 that does the same thing as a $30 camera can do except this one is way higher resolution compare with 1080pI use it to monitor my 3d printer but in the end I switch back because I prefer the common cheap raspberry pi camera because I can print a lot of compatible parts on the mount.The camera itself is great but it will be hard to find the printable mount unless you design it yourself.I do enjoy the USB set up but it's like any other camera out there but with heavy price.

    HOT; Leds create glare, pricey

    I really was expecting so much more out of this little camera, but for the price I cannot recommend it.

    First off, this thing gets HOT when running. The heatsink on the back is absolutely required because it gets extremely hot.

    Secondly, if you are using this through any kind of glass or enclosure the LEDs are so bright they end up creating glare and blinding the camera. It then gets stuck in a constant loop of auto focus.

    Thirdly, for over $100, you can do A LOT better for a camera. Unless you have some hyper specific use case, I don't see this being worth it.

    So far, so decent

    Purchased this camera for a couple different goals. The first was to record/monitor 3d prints, and for that purpose it has worked fine. I don't notice any huge quality gains over the commercial webcam I used previously, but it's great to have something a bit more permanent and purpose built.

    The second purpose I bought this for is for use with a diode laser engraver machine, as a plug-in/accessory for LightBurn laser software. Because this uses the camera for actual positioning of cuts and materials, and not just for passive monitoring, the accuracy, installation, and calibration requirements are much higher. So far, I'm still working through these. I have not quite got it dialed in and working correctly, but I won't rule out user or installation error just yet. I promise to provide an update when I have conclusive results on this end though.

    The image quality is very good, but I cannot seem to be able to control the LEDs. The LEDs stay on all the time. But it works out of the box with the exception of the LEDs.
