Great sound, great battery life, great fit!

Great sound, great battery life, great fit!
These airbuds are amazing! The sound quality is superb, with clear highs, solid bass, and I never even listen much beyond 50% volume. I use these primarily for workouts, to listen to music and podcasts, and I use them for business calls. When I use them for workouts, the noise canceling feature works very well, and I love the multiple types of noise canceling settings in the app for different situations. I primarily use the AI environment noise canceling setting, and it does a great job of eliminating almost all outside noise so I can better hear what I'm listening to. When I make phone calls, I use the normal mode, and the calls are always clear, crisp, and the volume is great. I don't have any interference or weird background noise, and no one I speak to has any complaints. The app is fantastic, with numerous settings for the earbuds, including AptX features, as well as LDAC, plus the aforementioned noise canceling, normal, and ambient sound settings. Pairing is super easy, as it's automatic when the earbud case is first opened, or it's just a matter of holding the buttons for 10 seconds to go into pairing mode, and following the instructions on the device. I love the design, particularly when I work out. I was concerned about the in-ear design, without anything to really hold them to my ears, and I've heard complaints from others about different earbuds they've used. But these really stay in my ear, no matter what exercise I'm doing. I even punch and kick a heavy bag at the gym, which includes some fairly quick movements, both circular and direct, and they never fall out! I've also never had any issues with sweat getting in them and causing any problems. Oh, I almost forgot about battery life… These things feel like they last forever! I usually work out for about an hour, give or take 15 minutes, 5 to 6 days a week, and I talk for probably up to an hour or two on work days. I only have to recharge the case about once a week, and even then, the earbuds aren't usually low on charge at that point.

    The seller reached out to me and wanted to address my issues with this pair. They offered to send me a new pair and see if it was any better. I got the new pair updated the firmware, and they paired instantly and perfectly. I customized them to my preference and away I went. No issues. I went on my first run and had absolutely no connection issues. I've used this new pair a couple of times and I'm very happy with the new pair. All the great sound quality as the first pair and great anc. I'm really happy with my new pair and still amazed at how good they sound for such small drivers. Thanks earfun for reaching out!!

    Original review: I had got a new phone and my old earbuds didn't have aptX. I ordered these as an upgrade and was excited to hear them after all the good reviews of these earbuds. I opened them up, set them up with the app, and on my way. I played around with the custom EQ and was super excited. I was playing around with the aptX settings, and the earbuds then disconnected, and refused to repair. It took me damn near 40 minutes to repair the set. Once I repaired, I had all kinds of issues with sound cutting in and out, randomly getting quiet and never getting loud again. I thought it was the noise cancelling , however I was in a car with no noticeable external noise. So once again deleted and repaired and a guess what. Wouldn't connect. 3rd time repairing them to the phone. Changed some settings in my music app, and it seemed to be ok. Well I had to get a new phone, all the settings were saved in the app, which was nice. Earbuds worked pretty well for a while, until I went for a run, and there is some serious connection issues… Yet again… It will randomly cut in and out while I'm running… With my phone in my pocket. 2 feet away max, and still has issues. With all that said, when they work the sound on these things is awesome. The customizations available is awesome, noise cancelling is awesome. And fit with the right tips is pretty good. Battery life is pretty good, but I'm using max noise cancelling so I use the battery up quite a bit. I really want to love these but with the connection and pairing issues, I'm just not sure this is it. for the price I expect better connection and more stability.

    I'm not really an audiophile, but these earbuds sound great to my ear and If you download the app, you can EQ the frequencies if the base preset isn't to your liking. I usually use them in the gym, and they don't budge at all with the regular tips even while I'm sweating like crazy, but you also get 2 bigger tips and 2 smaller tips in the box just in case. Whether I'm playing basketball, lifting, or just running, these have never once fell out of my ears (or even gotten loose, for that matter). The weight is pretty negligible and I don't really notice them in my ears. The battery life on these are really good, maybe about 6-7 hours of continuous music listening on active noise cancelling, and if the case is fully charged, you can probably get about 4 full charges from dead, which is really nice as well. The ANC works great, especially if they're really wedged in your ears, and if you listen to your music loud like me, it's genuinely impossible to pick up anything outside of the earbuds. The case charges pretty quickly too, and I can probably pop my earbuds in for only about 30 minutes and get a couple more hours of listening time. For the price point, I think these might be the best option you can get. If you need a pair of gym earbuds or even just earbuds in general, these really can't be beat.

    Can’t find my original review to edit. I don’t remember getting email it was posted. Which works, I came back to do a better one.
    The battery life is decent, not as long as other brands I’ve had. But still get 5-6 hours, so pretty good. But the noise canceling is awesome, if that takes more battery than I understand. They work great for yard work.
    I had issues with the ear tips staying in my ears. So I pulled some off some old ear buds I had and it seemed to fix my issue. They stay out now.
    Distance from my phone is fair. With my other ones I can have my phone in the kitchen on charger and they make it all over the house. These are about 25-35 foot in open space. Could be worse.
    The sound is decent. Some reviews rave about bass, even using the equalizer I don’t see it. It is clear just doesn’t rumble my head. But the vocals are very clear and work well. The noise cancellation is definitely top notch. When mowing it cancels out 90% of the outside noise. That is hard to find and definitely worth the money.
    The function of it pausing when you pull one out is awesome, I love it. I use an earbud cord so when someone comes up to me I just pull one out and drop it and it pauses. When I put it back in music resumed. Works for calls as well, if one is hanging and put it in your ear it answers. Pretty slick.
    Over all they are pretty good. The extra functions probably make them worth the money. Sound quality id say more half the cost. I am glad i found ear pieces that work so these aren’t just a paper weight.

    De Earfun Air Pro 4's bieden topkwaliteit voor een lage prijs. De noise cancelling (vooral wind) is geweldig en zorgt ervoor dat je bij het fietsen niets meer hoort, de app biedt zeer veel customizeability en de batterijduur is top. De case is enigszins moeilijk te openen, en is waarschijnlijk krasgevoelig; ik zou een case hiervoor kopen.

    Achtergrond
    Voor de prijs die ik heb betaald (€80 op Amazon) is de prijs-kwaliteit van deze in-ears geweldig, het is een sterke aanrader. Mijn vorige in-ears waren Sony WF-1000 XM3's. Hier heb ik met veel plezier naar geluisterd en alleen geswitcht omdat ik één earbud kwijt ben geraakt. Dit zijn de enige earbuds die ik getest heb. Ik schrijf deze review na 2 weken luisteren.

    Geluidskwaliteit
    Goed, beter dan XM3's. Scherper, scheiding instrumenten beter.
    Klank is een beetje tinnig, vooral merkbaar bij klassieke muziek. Als je alleen klassiek luistert geen aanrader. Waar de XM3's een bepaald timbre hebben hebben de Air Pro 4's een erg vlak, klinisch correct gevoel. In rock en metal is dit minder merkbaar.

    Noise Cancelling
    Zeer goed. Ik was zwaar onder de indruk van vooral de "Wind Noise Cancelling". Met normale noisecancelling van de Earfun Air Pro 4's hoor je nog steeds die karakteristieke scherpe windtonen van in-ears, maar met Wind Noise cancelling is dit compleet weg. De enige wind die je nog hoort is wat direct tegen je oren waait. Het enige jammere is dat ik de twee modussen niet kan combineren (Wind Noise + Strong Noise Cancelling), aangezien de Wind Noise wat minder sterk omgevingsgeluiden uitfiltert. Een hoop reviews zeggen dat de verschillende modussen niet nodig zijn; dat is leuk voor reviewers die nooit op de fiets stappen, maar is gewoon niet waar voor mensen die fietsen.

    Fit
    Ik heb erg moeilijke oren als het gaat om in-ears. Mijn oren doen snel pijn bij het dragen ervan, maar deze zijn erg goed. Zijn pas oncomfortabel na 1,5-2 uur luisteren (voor mij heel veel) en mijn oren worden een beetje warm door de goede afsluiting.

    App
    Erg goed, compleet customizeable knoppen zijn top. EQ is erg customizeable met 10 bands maar het aanpassen van bestaande EQ's is een beetje knullig.

    Knoppen
    Het is in het begin een beetje wennen ten opzichte van XM3's. Raakoppervlak is erg klein, maar je went eraan. Zijn responsief en registreren goed, maar zou wel feedback willen horen van de actie die de oortjes registreren (ie 2 korte beepjes bij twee keer aanraken).

    Case
    Vergeleken met de XM3's echt piepklein. Mooi afgewerkt en fijne vorm, maar is erg glad en je kan hem eigenlijk niet met één hand openmaken. Een case is sterk aangeraden.

    Batterijduur
    Ik heb hem nog niet hoeven opladen, hij gaat ontzettend lang mee. Groot pluspunt.

    Design
    De pootjes zijn mooi en vallen op, maar de ronde doppen waar de siliconen tips aan vastzitten zijn erg goedkoop piano-black plastic. Gelukkig zit dit in je oor terwijl je luistert.

    Bellen
    Geen opmerkingen. Ik was goed te verstaan.

    In-ear detectie werkt goed en redelijk snel.
