BUYER BEWARE!!
What started as a good 3rd party accessory maker for remote starts etc has sadly taken a turn for the worse. They now have become money hungry and refuse to let you work on their products yourself. After purchasing one of their devices a while back it came with DIY install instructions. It was simple, easy to use, and worked flawlessly. Since then when I emailed them about how to make a change to the settings, they said I had to go into an “authorized dealer” to get the changes made. I told them the device comes with directions to install yourself and program yourself why do I all the sudden need to pay more money for a simple fix. Especially when it’s something that could be easily done online or over the phone.
This is a common repair monopoly tactic that companies use to line their greedy pockets with more money and license features. I already bought the device, I pay a monthly subscription for it. However when I want to get a repair/update over the phone or online. They tell me I have to take it into one of their authorized dealers who pay another subscription fee to them as well to have access to their devices.
Not to mention when I reached out to them the guy seemed annoyed that I wasn’t ready to just take my car in and pay someone else for a 5 minute fix. (Terrible customer service)
So now my device that I still pay monthly for (after an expensive upfront cost) doesn’t let me use all the features because they are trying to get paid as often as Uncle Sam.
Save your time and money and go with another 3rd party seller hopefully you can find someone honest and not trying to rip off people that are just trying to make their cars better.
