Works very well. The app is very user friendly and easy to use with lots of options to customize the vacuum job. The most important feature for me is that it does not make the air dusty as it vacuums and it does a good job filtering the exhaust air. You have the option to adjust the wetness of mopping which is a great feature. I also like the option that allows you to select the suction power. Not a show stopper but one improvement would be to program the vacuum to always use the longest path vs. one direction. For example if you have a "L" shape area it vacuums one side with long path and the other side with multiple short passes, sort of only north-south path. I also like the viewing camera to monitor the vacuum the job progress remotely.
Overall it is a well-designed vacuum with very customizable features and a bug-free app.

Firstly, the vacuum came really well packaged! It feels really well built and only took about 20 minutes for unpacking, putting it together, and having to run a quick software update for this beautiful piece of technology to be ready to use. After a few days of use, I can say this has been a big upgrade over my previous robot vacuums. With a dog in the house, the daily fur and paw prints are a constant battle, but this unit tackles both vacuuming and mopping really well. It took about an hour to handle two rooms, the kitchen, living room, dining room, and hallways, leaving the floors spotless. The self-emptying dock and mop-cleaning feature are a game changer; I don’t have to think about it much beyond draining the dirty water after a mop cycle. It’s been two weeks now and it’s working great. I generally let it run at night so no one’s walking around. I suggest emptying the dirty water tank after every use and letting it air dry before reinstalling. I’m impressed with how dirty the water is after running the vacuum / mop cycle. Or better yet, how well it does cleaning the floors. No issues so far and it has a cool feature where if it recognizes someone is in the room, it’ll go back at the end of the cleaning cycle.

I was tired of cleaning and saw some Instagram videos with the Dreame vacuum robot that were very promising. I can confirm that the robot is a little genius and does an amazing job. At the very beginning it drove around and created a map of my apartment with the laser and camera technology it has. The map is pretty accurate and I can even pick designated areas or rooms to clean and lock off others. The Dreame app it comes with works perfectly and you can choose between different cleaning modes (mopping only, vacuuming only or both). It’s also amazing that you can choose the suction power for the vacuuming and decide so on the current noise level you want to have. The mopping mode you can’t even hear and you can pick the moist level so it’s ideal even for wooden floors. The battery life is sufficient for my 2 bedroom apartment and it goes back to the charging station automatically before running out of battery. The sensor is working great, it even makes sure it cleans around furniture legs in circles to make sure to not miss a spot. I can highly recommend the vacuum cleaner, it takes a lot of work from me.

Worst Purchase I EVER made on Amazon!!!!

I bought this Dreame vacuum based upon numerous online reviews from professionals who review these units. I have no doubt the reviews were genuine, but one thing they cannot tell you is how disgustingly terrible Dream’s customer service turns out to be. In my case, this unit arrived and was defective right out of the box. It had serious power issues, would not turn on at first, then would power up only to power itself off seconds later. Nothing worked the way it should. Dreame Tech Support finally determined the unit was defective and told me to return it. It was their recommendation that I unplug it from the wall outlet and not attempt to use it at all. I followed their advice, then tried to get Dreame to exchange the defective unit for a new one. And then the nightmare began, as they told me I would have to take the unit to a carrier of their choice, then wait over TWO WEEKS after they received it so they could determine that it was, indeed, defective. Only AFTER that delay of shipping it back to them and then waiting for them to determine that I wasn’t a liar, only then would they ship me the replacement unit. Meaning Dreame would have my money for about a month while I had nothing. I told them this was unacceptable. They wouldn’t budge. I could wait for them to decide that the unit really was defective before they would exchange it. No other option.

Well, I had another option. I returned it directly to Amazon, no questions asked. I labelled the unit as defective and dangerous to connect to electrical power, so that Dreame could not just turn around and ship it out to some unsuspecting victim like me, which is exactly what I feared they would do.

I don’t care what professional reviews tell me about how great this vacuum is, but I do care that a company will sell a product at this price point and then refuse to stand behind it while making a customer wait weeks to receive a working product that isn’t a danger to connect to electrical power. Clearly, this company is a disgrace in terms of its customer service, and you’d be wise to know it before you consider spending one dime on their products. As I said in the title, the WORST purchase I EVER made on Amazon, and I will NEVER buy a thing from this company again. There are competing products out there that can deliver the same results, in some cases better results. I’m ordering a competitor’s product. Buy from Dreame at your own risk, and if you do, don’t complain that you weren’t warned. You are warned.
