Functional Tablet & Best Customer Service Ever!
I am a professional graphic designer. I have always had an interest in animations and cartoons. Having said that, I needed to invest in a drawing tablet to pursue that goal. Did tons of reviews, from Wacom to the cheapest ones. I couldn't afford the Wacoms, and I didn't trust some of the cheaper ones. Eventually, I settled on the XP Pen, then I switched to Huion, but after seeing Gaomon, I started to rethink my choice. My eyes landed on the Gaomon M10K and I was very impressed with the high positive reviews. But then I noticed that they had an updated tablet, the M1230, and my brain always tells me to go with the newer technology, so I started hunting vigorously online for reviews on the M1230, but there wasn't much.Eventually, I went out on a limb, shut my eyes tight, and purchased my first ever drawing tablet, the M1230!When I received it, I hooked it up immediately. This was the very first time I had ever touched a drawing tablet, but setting up was a breeze! However, something was off. The strokes were appearing involuntarily and almost looked like splatters. I didn't want to jump on Amazon to write a bad review after having it for only 1 day as some might do, and returning it would have been a long headache since I am based in the Caribbean and not in the US, so I contacted Gaomon customer service for help.Let me back up here… Now it is important for me to tell you one other reason why I kept coming back to this Gaomon tablet. Prior to purchasing this, I had contacted maybe 3 drawing tablet companies, including Wacom, and the responses took forever or never! Gaomon was the company that responded in kind- it wasn't an immediate response because of our different time zones I guess, but it was a friendly response that addressed my questions, which I really appreciated. I kept that customer service in mind in helping me to choose.So back to the tablet- it wasn't working properly, I contacted them. Sonya handled my issue, and when she couldn't get any headway she referred me to Dora. I am not kidding you, this is the BEST customer service that I have ever received in my entire life!!! There were a few emails back and forth to resolve my issue. They were patient, they tried their best, they called and walked me through some steps, but I guess due to perhaps my bad internet, we had to find an alternative way to communicate while sorting it out. Honestly, the alternative way wasn't the best means, but it was sincere/ genuine, personal, business intimate, and in the end, the issue was resolved. She said that she would check in with me in 2 months to see how things are with the tablet. I thought it was a gimmick, but she did! I am sooooo impressed!I don't know how the famous Wacom feels, so I can't compare, I can only talk about this Gaomon M1230 tablet. I have absolutely no regrets! For the price and what it does, I am a happy camper! If I could give the customer service 100/10, I would! Thanks Gaomon!NB – This is NOT a sponsored review!     This table is definitely one i recommend! It’s a pretty good size tablet which connects to the computer easily and has little input delay/lag!! The quality of the build and of the electronics which fuction in the tablet are great and i haven't run into any issues with it! My onmy suggestion is be careful with the tip having variable sensitivity!! If you change pressure while drawing it could change your brush stroke effect!! But overall this is about a 8/10 tablet, Definitely recommend!!!

    Hey y’all, digits artist of 7 years here. I’ve been a huge proponent of purchasing Wacom tablets exclusively, however, summer of 2020 I had to have a conversation with my wallet about the price of a Cintiq or another intuos to replace my dying one of 5 years. I bought a Gaomon 21in display for a quarter of the cintiq price and instantly fell in love.
    As for this little gal, I bought it to be the mobile version of the 21in display. I knew it’d be the stripped down version of its fabulous bigger sibling, so I modified my expectations accordingly. While the S630 doesn’t have the best pen pressure, it holds up very well against messy backpacks and purses, plane rides— hell, even 50hr road trips. It’s made of light scratch resistant plastic and it doesn’t weigh more than a pancake. The set up is wicked easy and the support team is great to work with when downloading your tablet drivers.
    I understand my best quality work won’t come from this tablet, however, art isn’t about creating a perfect masterpiece… it’s about enjoying the creative process. If you want to enjoy the creative process on the go, you should give the Gaomon S630 a chance.

    At first I had some issues setting the tablet up, but it turned out that it was because I had installed the two files available for this model in Gaomon's website. After uninstalling both '.exe's and reinstalling only one of them, I was able to customize the physical buttons of the tablet and the pen with the shortcuts I most use, and also the work area. By default, the work area mis maximized, which is inconvenient because it leads you to touch with the pen the multimedia buttons in the upper side of the tablet when you click in the upper side of your screen (for instance when you want to add a new tab to your browser). To fix that, all you have to do is set the work area a little bit lower, which the tablet's software allows you to do. Now my tablet is working smoothly. There is just one thing that I didn't like much at first, but I wouldn't say that it is a bad thing. The tablet is so thin and large that it can be bent relatively easy. I suppose that it doesn't represent any problem since the tablet is supposed to work on a flat surface. In fact, being thin makes it look pretty nice. Another advantage of this tablet is that the non-usable area is minimum compared to the total area. I also want to say that I got fabric bag for the tablet, and an OTG adapter which allowed me to connect the tablet to my cellphone (Xiaomi). I'm not and artist and I will use the tablet for online teaching and meetings. I'm happy with my purchase.
