    Okay When it Worked

    I was quite happy with the camera when I first purchased it. Easy installation, easy to use and good camera and microphone quality. After using it for a couple weeks started encountering problems with the mic, my students would say the couldn’t hear me. After a month of teaching online classes, the camera started going out of focus during class. The problems persisted, now the camera won’t stay on. It shuts off after about 10 minutes. Good thing my computers built in webcam kicks in when this one shuts off. I’ve had to quit using this webcam.
    Maybe I received a bad one, but if you use a webcam extensively for online classes and such. I recommend finding a better quality webcam.

    Update 10/26/2003: After posting my review above, the DEPSTECH sales department reached out to me. They quickly replaced the webcam, and the new webcam works perfectly. I haven’t had any issues with it, good microphone and great picture quality. I can safely say this is a quality company that stands behind their products, so don’t worry about your purchase. They will definitely take care of you if you encounter a problem with their webcams. I have since updated my review from one star to five stars.

    Poor Voice Quality

    This is an excellent Web Camera with very poor sound reproduction. I use Zoom a lot and can't use this cameras mic because the volume is too low, but it has very good video qualities. I, at the moment use a separate mic from this camera's built in one. IT's a fair work round for now but will be looking for replacement camera.

    Customer Service sent a replacement web camera. Although the video quality was good on the original this one has even a better-quality video, but more important the sound is very good with the replacement. I was able to test it live yesterday for over 90 minutes on Zoom without one complaint about the sound quality. In my experience if their product seems faulty, they seem only too happy to make things right for the customer. One caveat though their communication could be improved somewhat, but their customer service is good.

    I got this webcam for various meetings, classes, and recordings. The 4k caught my eye, however, the quality is lacking for how the webcam was advertised. The picture is grainy and auto focus is broken, and it doesn't come with configuration software like some other webcams have, so there isn't a way to troubleshoot it.

    I tried using it through OBS, Nvidia Broadcast, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and the regular Camera app on Windows 11, and this was consistent through all of this software, including OBS, which receives nothing but the raw input from the camera. I tried viewing it on both my monitors and my 4k TV, so the poor, grainy quality is consistent across all 3 screens.

    Color quality is also dull and pale, but I won't complain too much about that since it wasn't advertised to have superb color in the images, videos, and live streams it captures.

    However, it does function fairly well as a low-cost HD webcam. The microphone that's built-in is clear, the tripod is durable, and the setup is painless as it's just plug-and-play.

    I wouldn't recommend it for anyone set on 4k, but it does function fairly well for a simple webcam and seems to hold up fairly well in terms of durability and longevity.

    Come da titolo. Ho avuto la fortuna di prenderla con il codice sconto del 30% e sono felice di aver colto questa occasione. La webcam in sé vale ampiamente il prezzo di listino, ha funzionalità e qualità comparabili solo a webcam da almeno il doppio del prezzo dai marchi blasonati, il prenderla al prezzone scontato la rende ancora più appetibile e soddisfacente.

    Le foto nella descrizione del venditore, sebbene iperboliche, comunque sono molto rappresentative di che qualità aspettarsi, inclusa la correzione colori ben bilanciata. L'autofocus funziona perfettamente, ottimo sia per le videochiamate che per streamare/registrare per Twitch e YouTube senza dover impazzire con "rotelline" e affini delle webcam sulla fascia appena inferiore. Microfono nella media, perfettamente utilizzabile per una chiamata, cancellazione del rumore funzionale, sconsigliato nel caso la qualità audio sia una criticità assoluta.

    Per chi intende usarla per eyetracking o altre attività di machine learning e vtubing, non ho riscontrato problemi con i maggiori programmi (testati: eyetracking via Tensorflow e VSeeFace). È conforme UVC, nessun driver richiesto sui maggiori sistemi operativi, Linux e macOS inclusi.

    Simpatica la presenza nella scatola di un piccolo treppiedi (la base della webcam ha anche un foro filettato per "treppiedare" la webcam) e uno sportellino di plastica manuale per oscurare il sensore. Contornano perfettamente un prodotto di media fascia di un marchio che cerca di emergere in un mercato già monopolizzato dai grandi nomi.
