This is an insane value for the money as long as you have a proper PC to run it.
It's important to make sure that you use this device with a very powerful computer. If you use it with a low end PC it will suck! I can only imagine that's why there are so many bad reviews. As long as you use it with a high end PC, it's functionally comparable to a Creaform scanner ($40k+). I say this as someone who has used 3D scanners professionally for the past 10 years. Creality, please update the Mac software! The Windows software is much better than what's currently available for Mac, it seems like they stopped updating the mac version several months ago. This is an insane value for the money as long as you have a proper PC to run it.

    This is a security risk wrapped up in a non-functional waste of time for Mac users.

    What an absolute piece of garbage – and a security risk!

    Installed the iOS app, and excitedly pulled the scanner out of its lovely box for trying – and the first thing I got was a warning that the iOS software won't work without setting the wifi password on a PC software!

    Launched the app on my Mac mini M4 Pro – and it was an absolute car crash. Security concerns (wants to run SUDO, which is a security risk. Won't actually connect to the WiFi point. So I can't even change the wifi password)

    Run for the hills, And save your money!

    Works if you use older software.

    The scanner works. My PC has a 13th gen i7, 96GB RAM and Nvidia 5070 ti. The problem is the software. After unboxing, I downloaded the software and proceeded to try a scan after calibration etc. Halfway through the scan, Creality Scan 4 froze and I had to use the task manager to close it. The same happened with every scan. I downloaded the last copy of Creality Scan 3 to give it a try. Then scanner works flawlessly with v3, but some of the features I need from v4 are missing from v3. I'll give it a try for about a week or so, but it looks like I will be returning it if I can't get v4 software to work. If v4 worked, I'd give it 5 stars. As is, it's only 3 stars for me.

    I feel robbed. I was sold a lie. The IOS software is less than worthless; forget using it wirelessly with an iPhone, as advertised. The software crashes, refuses to find the scanner, the scanner loses tracking, and you have a better chance of winning at a Casino than completing a scan. AVOID THIS PRODUCT.

    This is and expensive paperweight with phone holder. The apps do not work. It gets to 60% or so and crashes. EVERY TIME!!! Don't waist your money. Also return policy is questionable, may recieve 0 refund or partial depending on what they want to give apparent. Should be negative 5 star. Total waste

    I’m sorry but this product is just terrible. I’m not even going to go into more detail on why it’s so terrible, since there are so many reasons. If your dumb enough to buy it (like me) and you’ve wasted an hour or two of your life you’ll never get back, don’t say you weren’t warned.
