There are only two cons: 1) my kid cries each time we have to move on to do something else 2) instructions warm not to leave the charging for more than 8 hours or something or it can ruin the battery. That second con really bothers me. I sometime want it charged for morning use but I don’t remember to charge it until late at night and I fall asleep before disconnecting it – another thing to be paranoid about that messes with sleep. I wish they had safeties in place to not ruin the battery by leaving it plugged in. Other than that really cool car. We get compliments every time we take it out, or see the heart melt expressions as drivers pass by. The 3 speeds are great though I wish it could go just a bit faster. Turning radius is fine but can be a little bit better. The wheels are plastic, not rubber unfortunately. I wish I could also control the kid’s radio from the remote control. The override controls are fantastic, though I worry about when the remote batteries will die out on me and if it’ll happen while he’s driving near a safety hazard. I don’t see a battery level indicator for the car or the remote. I think the remote control should be rechargeable so that we can know if we may me putting our kid’s safety at risk soon. We’ve been driving it for over a year now though and remote hasn’t died. The car just starts to get sluggish when running out of juice, The headlights and taillights lighting up are fantastic visually and great for safety when driving near dusk around the community. When I wash my LC500, my kid washes his car with lightly damped towels – cutest thing. Would buy this for my kid in every lifetime.
