So I wasn’t sure how I would like this but I must say it’s pretty cool. Other devices that let you play video on your radio use an Android type OS. This lets you have a Fire Stick connected to your radio. In my opinion that’s better because you can set it up in your house and use whatever apps you want in your vehicle. It comes with all the cables and adapters you need to get it setup. Setup is simple and the design was well thought out with the way the fire stick is retained into the dock. You’ll likely notice that the audio isn’t synced with the video but that’s an easy fix because there’s an audio sync option in the fire stick. Once that’s dialed in everything matches up like it should. You’ll need to hotspot your phone or another internet connection to provide WiFi to the fire stick. The picture quality is great and the video doesn’t lag or glitch. This also provides wireless CarPlay for your phone. So you can have the fire stick and your phone connected through CarPlay. The wireless CarPlay is the same as every other wireless CarPlay adapter I’ve used. It connects fast and once setup it doesn’t need any future input to connect, it just works. The only issue I ran into is if your power to the adapter is always on, even with your vehicle shut off, your phone will stay connected to the CarPlay link. In my application I just had to swap a fuse to get the lighter plug to power down with the ignition off. You could also add a cheap usb switch inline to the adapter to power it on/off when needed. It’s a minor thing but just something to know. I think that since this adapter is cheaper than other solutions for getting video on your radio, and a lot of people have a fire stick already, this is a great option. I’m very happy with it and will be buying more for my other vehicles. I would say this design will probably make other video adapters obsolete just because of the fire stick integration. Don’t hesitate to get this one over the rest. It’s good.

    2025 Camry. Works exactly as expected. You connect to it like it’s a vehicle. Then you can select the HDMI input or wireless CarPlay. The CarPlay works exactly like the OEM interface. In order to connect the first time, I had to follow the manual instructions to connect to the device’s IP address, connect to the device Bluetooth, and connect to the device wifi.

    Be patient and set up the Fire Stick beforehand.

    This wireless CarPlay/Android Auto has the added benefit of Fire Stick (or any other HDMI device if you can power it) use.

    Powering it is higher than normal CarPlay adapters because it’s also powering the HDMI system that powers the Fire Stick. You likely can’t plug the power and communication plugs into a single dual USB factory charging port area – you will need a different separate USB charging port in your vehicle or use a USB cigarette lighter charger alternatively.

    Other than the power requirements the ease of installation is pretty straightforward. I used a Fire TV Stick 4K Max.

    Value for is average, but above if it’s on promotion.

    Quality is decent, but the design itself is a little clunky.

    The connection is quick on startup and you can access a local server on the device for firmware updates etc. Lag is minimal. On portrait systems like mine the screen is pretty tiny for Fire Stick use. Also particularly in the Fire Stick mode you can hear some audio interference (maybe from powering the device from 2 separate USB sources?)

    This is a good option especially on promotion if you’re part of the small niche that needs to use a Fire Stick in your vehicle.

    This works initially. Whenever I turn off the vehicle and turn it back on, it stops working and the only way to get it to work is by repeatedly unplugging and replugging the unit. When it does work, it works awesome. Hence my 3 stars out of five. Fix the issue and my rating increases.

    Very nice device. It allows you to watch anything on your fire stick. It was very easy to set up, it was easy to make all the wireless and wired connections. I did notice a bit of lag when using the fire stick side but I upgraded to the latest firmware and that resolved the issue. There is a home button added to your menu to be able to switch back and forth between movie mode and navigation mode/car mode. I do not recommend using the fire stick side while driving for safety reasons. There was also an issue where the AV was not synching up properly. This caused the sounds from the movie to be transmitted seconds after the sound had occurred on screen. This too was an easy fix. All you have to do is enter the fire stick menu and under the audio menu select AV sync. There you will be able to add or remove sound delay to make the video sync up correctly with the video. Lastly, when there is a lot of action/movement on the screen it does tend to jitter a bit. Not something that I would consider a deal breaker by any means. Just an observation. Overall I believe the product is very well made and a great value.

    I picked this up because the idea behind it was interesting, and it definitely works as advertised. It’s a bit big and clunky, but once connected, it does a good job converting wired CarPlay into a platform that can display HDMI streaming devices like a Fire TV Stick.

    For testing, I used a Fire Stick 4K, and everything worked smoothly. The interface loads, the video plays correctly, and the wireless link stays stable. It’s a fun gadget if you like the idea of bringing streaming capability into your car while parked—whether in your driveway, garage, or at a rest stop.

    Just to be clear: this should only be used when the vehicle is safely parked. Watching video on your car’s display while driving is illegal (and unsafe), so this is definitely a “parked entertainment” device only.

    If you accept its size and the niche use case, it delivers on the concept and works well once set up. For the price you can spend less and have normal not firetv functionality in a better smaller package.

    È un carlink diverso da molti altri,perché oltre ad avere funzionalità Carplay con compatibilità ios e Android, ha pure un'entrata per dispositivo Amazon fire TV,e si ha la possibilità di vedere la TV e i film preferiti dal monitor della nostra autoradio, ottimo sistema per passare il tempo quando siamo in un parcheggio ad aspettare,o dobbiamo intrattenere i nostri figli durante un lungo viaggio,inoltre le classiche funzionalità Carplay wireless non cambiano,come ad esempio il GPS,YouTube,amazon music Spotify ecc ecc.
    La connessione è semplice e veloce e mantiene una fluidità delle immagini davvero ottima, sono molto soddisfatta.

    Komplikationslos mit oder ohne Fire-ATV Stick

    Vorher sollte man sich darüber im klaren sein, dass dieser Adapter seine volle Funktionalität nur mit einem, am Besten Fire-Tv, externen und separaten TV-Stick entfaltet.

    Hierzu gibt es primär einen HDMI Anschluß am Adapter, aber auch an exotischere Stick's hat man gedacht, an der Seite (USB-Adapapter sind beigefügt) ist ein weitere USB-C Anschluß für eine passende Bildquelle.

    Anders als kleine Dongles hat dieser Adapter schon eine gewisse Größe und wird mit einem Kabel am USB des KFZ angeschlossen. Liegen die USB Anschlüsse, wie in meinem Fall, verborgen in der Mittelkonsole, ist dies natürlich kein Problem, liegt die Buchse an anderem Ort offen im KFZ muss man schon schauen, wie man den Adapter diskret installiert und dann auch befestigt.

    Wie bei anderen Wireless-Adaptern, ist die Verbindung zum Handy und zum Mediensystem des KFZ bei mir überhaupt kein Problem und geht flüssig und schnell. Wie bei einem anderen Adapter, den ich nutze, funktionieren Android-Auto und Apple-Carplay ohne Probleme.

    Um bewegte BIlder und Apps wie Netflix oder Prime zu nutzen, bedarf es dann allerdings eines TV-Sticks.

    Ich habe zur Erprobung meinen Fire-TV Stick kurzzeitig installiert, dafür ist dieses System auch primär ausgelegt.

    Das Ergebnis ist in Ordnung. Auch das wieder auf mein KFZ bezogen mit mittelgroßem Touch-Screen.

    Natürlich benötigt der Adapter eine Internetverbindung über Handy-Hotspot.

    Dann aber, was über Carplay nicht funktioniert (You-Tube ist nur ohne Bild möglich), können tatsächlich Filme und Videos während der Fahrt angeschaut werden. So man das möchte.

    Nicht in 4K unbedingt und nicht ohne manchen Ruckler, wenn der Handyempfang sich hier und da auf der Strecke verschlechtert, aber gut genug, um sich auf Film-Apps nutzen zu können.

    Was ich allerdings nun nicht auf Dauer installiert lassen werde. Was mir, leider, fehlt, wäre die Möglichkeit des Anschlusses externer Monitore für die Rückbank. Zumindest als einfache Installation. Über Umwege wäre das zu bewerkstelligen (mit einem anderen als dem verbautenMediengerät zusätzlich im Auto). Und da mein Display zentral sitzt, wäre das Betrachten von bewegten Bildern während der Fahrt zu ablenkend.

    Ich nutze den Adapter nun dennoch für das "normale "Carplay und freue mich an der einwandfreien Funktion und dem sehr guten Sound.

    Wenn aber die Zeiten eines E-Autos anbrechen, dann würde ich auch einen TV-Stick fest instalieren.

    Für die Überbrückung von Ladezeiten dann 'wäre der Adapter ein echter Gewinn für eine Serienfolge oder andere Unterhaltungen beim Ladevorgang.

    Am Anfang war ich zwar etwas skeptisch ob das wirklich mit meinem System im Auto klappt,
    aber nach ein wenig einrichten mit einem FireTV Stick ist alles wirklich so möglich wie am
    heimischen TV (wenn natürlich etwas langsam und mit der geringen Auflösung des Auto-
    navigationssystems). Die Verbindung des Sticks mit dem Telefon für eine Internetverbindung
    hängt natürlich vom Netzempfang und Handymodell ab. Aber mit einem eingerichteten
    Hotspot im iPhone hatte ich hier keine Probleme. Am Anfang etwas fummelig, aber wenn
    man sich dran gewöhnt hat, kann man auf jedem Parkplatz mal nebenbei eine Runde Netflix
    oder YouTube schauen. Ein FireTV Stick HD reicht völlig aus und man muss hier nicht zur 4K
    Variante greifen. Angenehm für mich ist, das ich sogar auf meinen Plex-Server zuhause zu-
    greifen kann. Ich werde das Gerät zwar nicht oft nutzen, aber wenn mal ein Kind im Auto
    wartet weil man kurz was besorgt ist es beschäftigt.
