It was easy to play with, super easy. Never embroidered and just got an SE600, so I got this too, and it was easy to navigate and transfer. So, the whole activation code thing, I read the reviews too and just thought maybe I'll do what someone else suggested if I run into that problem when I get it. Well, it didn't work with the activation code it gives you in the barcode (underneath "Activation code:"). It's actually at the bottom and pretty big. It's the one with the dashes in it, super simple to find. Wrongly placed. If you don't type that one in, and the wrong one at the top (maybe not for all of them), you simply can't press the "activate now!" button, just the "Demo" one, like one review an understandably angry customer wrote. Skip all of that frustration if you run into that issue. There's 2 codes, and I'm assuming someone that makes the codes or whatever, switched the format wrong on these software installation packages and wallah. Bad reviews manifest for this error in packaging. I gave 5 stars otherwise, because it was beautifully structured for newbies like me.

    This is a Delightful Program, which works flawlessly. In my package was a card, and inside, at the bottom of the left-hand side, was the Correct Activation Code…which was Labeled "Activation Code". THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED!!!

    The software is easy to use! I first read the entire book, which took about three quarters of an hour…and I am Glad that I did. Pre Knowledge Always makes things run more smoothly. It is really fun! My Embroidery Machine is a Brother NQ1700E…and it itself does the sizing, movement, and those nice features…BUT I wanted the software for the Extra Fonts! And I am Very Pleased with them! They are of a High Quality, and nicely varied. Initial Stitch is Worth Every Cent I paid for it…and More!

    NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 10

    I purchased this product to accompany my new Brother embroidery machine that only came with 6 fonts. I ensured that the specifications met my current version of Windows. After downloading the software per the instructions, my problems began. It caused my keyboard to not function in any program, not just this one. My caps lock turned on along with sticky keys. When typing numbers, they only appeared as symbols as if the shift key was being held down. I had to hit each letter key 4-5 times just to type one letter. I uninstalled the program then restarted my computer. My computer functioned perfectly again. I then reinstalled this program and it started going haywire again. ALTHOUGH THIS SOFTWARE SAYS IT IS COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 10, IT IS NOT. I wish I had seen the other post from the previous customer here who had said the same thing before I purchased this.
    The program itself is not not horrible, but I couldn’t even type any text into the box for a preview without the same issues occurring. I am so disappointed. Total waste of hours of my time and money trying to figure this thing out.

    I had to buy this to replace my old Amazing Designs software that became corrupted and is now obsolete. This one is very similar and has much better user manual/help screens so I was able to muddle through the first couple monograms. I don't do a lot of creative design embroidery so I can't speak to that. Shocked though, that I had to pay shipping and wait for delivery of a postcard type document that gave me a code and instructions to download the product !!! Whaaa??? Ridiculous waste of time and money and resources.
