Just what we needed!!
Even though it’s a cat feeder I use it for my dogs. The instructions were really easy to understand for setting it up. If you want the auto feeder to work you will need to download the app (it’s free) and connect the feeder to WiFi. There is also a button on the front you can push to manually feed. Again this is for a cat so on the app when I put the “portion size” I want it to distribute I put 2 at first which let out about 7 pieces of kibble lol for about 1 cup of dog food I have it set to 14 portions. The container holds estimating 5-7 servings at the larger amount. It can be plugged in or run on batteries. Power cord and plug are included, batteries are not. We needed this for when we are gone overnight and it’s perfect! I ordered a 2nd one for our other dog right after testing this out because it worked so well. Oh you can also do a voice recording which I thought was pretty neat.

    The instructions to get this working aren't the easiest, but I did manage to get it scheduled to feed once a day for my two cats. I was not able too connect to it via Bluetooth, so I'm not able to use it on my phone at all. I was really looking forward to that as it was a big selling point on their part. But if people can't get it to work, it just creates frustration and disappointment. There's a video on their listing and the locks and wi-fi based app are the two things it "brags" most about, yet it's the two things that either 1) don't work (wi-fi) and 2) I worry it'll fail in the future (locks). I had another feeder very similar to this one and while it was easier to set up, it completely quit after about two weeks. I was so disappointed. So I'm truly hoping this one doesn't do the same as they both came from China, and like I said, the mechanisms are basically the same. So my fingers are crossed as it's been going now for about 2.5 weeks. So I'll let you know if it quits on me. At the time off this review, 3/2/25, it is listed for $59.99 with a $20 coupon! I'd definitely take a chance on it for that price. If it quits, hopefully it does so in the first 30 days so you can return it, or maybe there's a warranty they offer at checkout? I would most definitely get that if they do. I like that it's easy to wash and it has little latches on the sides to prevent the cats, or dogs, knocking it over and spoiling the food. Even if they are a little flimsy. I hope they last as long as the feeder. I suppose I could always put a baby-proifing type latch on it.🤷‍♀️ But, I shouldn't have to, and that's the point.

    If it were easy to set up and actually connected where I could use the app it would be 5 stars, but since they don't and that's the main selling point! Now I have to physically check every feeding tine to see if it did it's job. If I'm going to do that then I can just feed them myself.💁🏼‍♀️ So unfortunately I can not leave them overnight, because I cannot check to see if they got food or not. So what's the point? This is not good. That's why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4. If wifi worked, I would definitely bump it to 4. If the wifi worked AND the locks were a little more robust, or even if it were just easier to set up in general, I'd give it 5 stars! But it isn't, so 3 stars it is. Maybe they'll fix it and future buyers won't have these issues.🤷‍♀️ One can hope, but I won't hold my breath. 😓
