A High-Quality and Affordable Tablet!
This was my first time trying a screen tablet as I’ve only used standard drawing tablets in the past, and I really enjoyed the experience! It was cool to draw directly onto the tablet and it reminded me of sketching on paper. The D16Pro was highly customizable and I enjoyed using the buttons and the LED wheel as they definitely made my process more efficient. The screen is also spacious and has an antiglare film; The colors are highly accurate and I have not experienced any problems. The pen had a lightweight feel which I liked, and the tablet had good pressure sensitivity which made it very nice to draw on. There was a slight offset from the pen to the cursor which made it difficult to click some features of the screen at times, but this was manageable thanks to the buttons that reduced the need for precise clicks. All of this is not a big deal, it would’ve been nice if the power cord was slightly longer and the tablet came with the pen holder but these are not deal breakers by any means. Overall, the D16PRO is an amazing tablet that has many high quality features for an affordable price. I would highly recommend it!

So, Aside from the pen being light and unbalanced (I would love to see a change in this and would buy a new pen if one was made that had a better balance and weight) I love it. I have had this tablet for almost a year now and it was one of the best changes I made.

I got one of the ones that needed the firmware update, but it was super easy to do and only needed to do it once. I have had ZERO driver issues and NO alignment issues running on windows 10. That's a lot more than I can say after having a huion unit that broke my soul it had so many driver issues.
(Huion issues essentially were the fact it would randomly disconnect, forget pressure sensitivity exists, Cause my whole computer to freeze needing a forced restart, all these multiple times in less than 4 hours which made streaming impossible. Mind you I'm married to someone that does high-end IT and he couldn't fix it because everything on my machine was fine and up to date. It was just the huion driver. It took 20-30 minutes to get it working in the first place.)

As far as the aRGB rating. I find it holds true. Especially since I do most of my work at night. I work in print and need accuracy. I also have a color calibration device which I did find that I needed with this unit. That was understandable and expected. I find that when I first plug it in it leans a bit red, but when I run my X-rite i1Display it accepts the correction with ease and holds as long as it's plugged in. This is likely in part due to the fact I use my calibrator with my other 2 monitors already so it tries to apply the settings from there.

This unit is very light. I didn't feel comfortable using it with the stand it came with. However, I made something that worked better for it with me, and they do sell a better stand. It's the same basic one a lot of small graphic tablets come with. The glove it came with were too loose on my hand however I have one I really like anyway and so use my own anyway.

Overall I love this product and I would say it deserves much more attention than it has. You don't have to pay for a Cintiq to get the color accuracy you need. This really brings to the forefront functionality. It is not the most luxurious feeling thing in the world but it functions so well and has lasted me about a year now. There are no signs of weak points or things that are too delicate. I want a nicer pen out of them when they choose to make them but that's something I'll just have to wait for. Good JOB!

    *************** REVIEW UPDATE 12/15/2019 ***************

If I could give it 4.5 / 5 I would. Here is why:

So I decided to exchange the display tablet for a new one in hope that the problems that I experienced were just because of a faulty board. Well to my surprise this was the case. After receiving the new board installing the newest driver a lot of the issues I experienced were fixed.

So why 4 / 5 stars? The reason for this is that even though a lot of the issues such as the offset to pen were fixed from the replacement display tablet it still had a few minor issues that do add up. For example, the offset from pen to cursor when trying to select features on the RIGHT side of the board are still present. Not as bad but still there. Now even though this is a little common in smaller display tablets you will usually see this issue at the bottom where the issue is not as relevant vs the issue being on the far right of the screen. While this doesn't affect drawing in the middle of the screen it still can be a little frustrating especially when trying to say for example delete a layer or add a new layer. It's minor but the annoyance is there.

So what is good about it?

The colors are amazing right out of the box. They did a really good job with making sure the color accuracy is present. To truly get the full color accuracy I do recommend color calibrating the display tablet but this is normal and what you should be doing with any board you get.

Secondly, drawing on this board is really good. Very very little to no line jitters and the tilt function and overall line quality was really good. The pen is pretty lightweight so if you're into a heavier feel pen then it might be a little inconvenience at first but once you get used to it you'll be fine. The pen does feel good in your hand. If I had a complain about it, it would be that there is no grip on the pen but that is about it.

So should I get this board?
That's hard to say and the reason is this. There are really only 3 competing display tablets when it comes to the 15.6 size and at this price point. You have Artisul, XP-Pen, and Huion. Each one does something better then the other but not one is more dominate over the other. So it's pretty much a tie between all three. If you are on the fence about which one to choose I would advise you to watch youtube review videos and find ones that show the settings page and showcase what you can and cannot customize on the display tablet.

Overall the Artisul D16 Pro is a great product.

    ********* OLD REVIEW BELOW ********
So I just received the Artisul D16 Pro 15.6 and after about 6 hours of testing and trying different drawing programs such as Clip Studio and Affinity Photo I've come to the conclusion that this pen display is "OK".

Right away as you start drawing you notice that there is something off about the pen. The separation from the pen and the cursor is very noticeable. After installing the latest drivers, reinstalling the latest drivers, and running their calibration tool countless of times the cursor would just not line up properly. The cursor offset was always off either too far left or too far right. This is considerably noticeable when moving the pen towards the right edge of the screen to the point where you can't even click certain features in programs such as Clip Studio since the cursor offsets so much towards the sides of the screen.

Secondly, the dial wheel/button . While it is nice it's very limited to what you can do with it. Certain features such as rotating the page is not available UNLESS you use the dial button in the middle which brings up the menu for you to select the option. The problem is that you can only use either the dial button or the dial wheel separately. Meaning you can not use them both and the same time. You would need to go into the Artisul tablet settings menu to switch back and forth between the two. This limits the dial wheel/button and something they do not advertise (at least to my knowledge). The scroll wheel also has issues with itself as well. For example, while rotating the wheel to zoom in and out it the wheel doesn't register properly when rotating. Meaning that you'll have to continuously rotate the wheel more so than you should. This could be due to a faulty display tablet that I received though.

    ich bin enttäuscht

Reviewed in Germany on July 15, 2023

Amazon schickt in diesem Fall keinen Ersatzstift. Schade!

Feels like a great, quality product – could never get the software or stylus to work

Reviewed in Canada on December 2, 2022

submitted a ticket to the company, to their credit they tried to help me. Offered several suggestions for me to try and I went online to see if the great hivemind might offer a solution. The tablet functioned as an extra screen and had great image quality. But the pen didn't work and I could never get the software to recognise the tablet. Vendor support tried to be very helpful and I don't fault them. Must be incompatible with my computer or software. Had to return.
