Recommend It, But…
I also have Anker 553 Usb-C hub, it has similar I/O options with this one except this one has extra Usb-C, which I needed. Usb cable is not fixed, which is great but you need a cable that can transfer video if you need replacement. Not any Usb-C cable will work. 553 model is more compact and that one is plug and play, you don't need any additional drivers. This one requires a driver to be installed, so if you need this for work computer and it is restricted, you will need to contact your IT department. If you don't want that, get the 553 model. Note : Both model's PD port does not charge Legion 7 laptop. Other features are functional.

The main issue is that one of the HDMI ports just stopped working less than 2 months after it was purchased. Before that it worked, but with limitations. Using a new macbook air (M4) I was able to use dual monitors, but could not stream video from most services (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). I could get some to work by changing chrome settings but most would not work even then. Changing the settings made other software not work. So everytime I wanted to use certain adobe software I had to manually change the settings and couldn't stream anything until I finished working in Adobe. I got rid of the tv in my office because I used the second monitor as a tv when I wanted to stream anything so this was a huge issue. Now it's not an issue at all because the port is fried.

great hub. works great to allow a keyboard, mouse, display to all connect to the laptop. BUT, the power that is going to the hub doesn't support power to the laptop. It's ok with me, I just plug the laptop USB-pd power to the laptop, and the hub to the laptop usb-c. I have separate power supplying the hub.

  • Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2024

    Pros:
    – The power-in is a USB-C cord, so you can use your laptops power supply instead of the big bulky custom ones that come with other hubs. In my case, I used my MacBook charger, which is nicer and could get a longer USB-C cord to get this to the wall.
    – The Upstream Port (connect to laptop), is also a USB-C port, so you can use a longer USB-C cable. Other hubs have the upstream port connected to the hub (and they are short). But with a longer cable and this slim design, I can hide the hub behind my monitor.

    Cons:
    – Only has HDMI, no Display Ports.
    – Probably could use another USB-C input or two. I'd gladly sacrifice the Micro SD port for this. Who uses Micro SD ports these days?

works, but not with every usbc-usbc cable. the one included works, but if you want to use a different kind of cable your mileage may vary. they should mention this in the product advertisement specifying which usb generation/bandwidth is necessary

Hochwertige Verarbeitung und sehr gute Funktionalität

Reviewed in Germany on January 6, 2025

Works perfect with my M1 laptop

Reviewed in Canada on April 15, 2024

Works perfect with my M1 laptop, you get two monitors output.
I have 32 inches Ultrawide and 27 inches Ultrawide and it works perfect for the two of them.
It also provides power supply so you end up with just one cable.
    Highly recommend given the price.
