I got this on a Prime day deal, I needed a TV for my bedroom, but didn't want a gargantuan one. Setting it up was simple, plug in a couple of cords and you're watching TV! I did have to download a couple of apps, I don't recall downloader being on it. It didn't take long to do the downloads either.
I had a couple of accounts that I had to sign into after downloading. Since I have a million passwords, all stored, I couldn't remember them….UGH! However, all I had to do was get my mobile device (my iPad), put it next to the TV and it logged me in. I'm not sure if that is a feature of the apps or the TV, but it's pretty slick. The only thing was not all of my apps loaded from my Amazon account, I had to download them individually. My other TV has a fire stick, and I'm loving having only one remote for a TV. They even included the batteries for the remote.
The picture quality is excellent. The colors are clear, there is no lag or delay with the picture. The sound quality is also very good, I don't have to turn it up very high for the sound to be heard in the next room. I can't vouch for the technical aspects, things like a refresh rate or any other geek stuff, but that little $60 TV works just as well as my $300 one. This would be a great TV for a kid's room or second one in the house. And it's priced competitively even without the Prime day deal.
