Can this product measure exposure?
No, but you can to do some math or print out an exposure chart to calculate it.
We typically start the calculation knowing that sunny-sixteen (SS) incident intensity is about 90kLux – for which the proper ISO100 exposure is F/16, 1/125s. So 45kLux is a SS -1 stop, 22.5kLux is SS -2 stops, 11.25kLux is SS -3 stops and so on (and knowing the number of stops away from SS allows one to adjust exposure accordingly). Clouds are usually -1 stop. Shade is usually another -1 to -2 stops.
So this product is a very affordable alternative solution for exposure measurement
Why it display KLux or KFc?
When the reading exceeds 1000, the unit will default to Klux or KFc.
