During a vacation in Hawaii, I lost my Xiaomei fitness band (Fitbit imitation) while at the airport. While I liked the band and its capabilities, the loss may have actually been a blessing in disguise as it forced me to do a search for a replacement and, in the process, discover smart watches with far more features, including this one. I chose this particular brand/model because it appeared to have all the features of competing products but at about half to two-thirds the cost. For what I paid, I am pleased with the impressive array of functions, including step counter, text/ phone alert, sleep monitor, heart rate monitor, stop watch, calculator and a host of others. You can also choose from a wide variety of watch faces, both analog and digital, and even create a personalized one with a photo.
The watch does have some shortcomings. For one, the sleep monitor is certainly wonky, at times counting my late-night reading time as sleep time. For another, it appears that it does not start counting steps until your arms are moving/ swaying (e.g., it may not count your steps if the arm with the watch is held still). Overall, however, so long as you don't need complete accuracy, considering cost and functions, this is a good buy for under twenty dollars.
