For $20, this is a good deal: I really wanted a Remarkable tablet but those are $700 right now, so I decided to try this out to see if I would actually use one. I'm quite pleased with this. I have the 15-inch screen, which is good for me and my terrible handwriting, (PLEASE DO NOT LOOK AT THE PICTURE) and it's all ready become so important that, if I'm still using it as often in a month, I'm going to upgrade to one with the features missing that I wish it had.
The first feature I wish it had is a carrying case. In the photo, the 15-inch screen BARELY (!!!!!!!) fits into a regular notebook for a tablet of paper: IF I take the paper out, I can smoosh the writing tablet in, but the zipper barely fits around the frame. It's only $20, so dropping it and breaking it isn't going to be a big deal, but it's easier to carry in a case. It will definitely fit into my laptop case.
As I was struggling to get the writing tablet into the case in the photo, I noticed that–in spite of having the screen locked–smudges and random lines showed up on the surface. Again, this isn't a big deal, it's really a kid's toy, but if you need something more professional–since you can't erase random lines like this without erasing the whole thing–you probably need to look for a different model.
So, other missing features you need to be aware of before buying: you cannot erase some specific area of the screen; once you've drawn it, it's there, unless you clear the entire screen. It does NOT leave impressions of your arm or hand as you are drawing/writing, but if it bumps something that has a decent edge to it, the "area of impact" will leave a spot (this isn't a big deal, I just want to clarify). It also only has one color of "ink" you can use, the green you see in the image. I realized these things when purchasing it–it's only $20–and I knew I would be spending two to three times that getting one with these missing features.
The writing is clear, the stylus works exceptionally well, the marked areas show up quite nicely (some people may naturally use a "lighter hand" when writing/drawing than others so if you do, this might not be dark enough for you, but I tend to press hard naturally). I got the 15-inch which is a VERY nice writing space but it's so big it doesn't readily fit into a carrying case.
All in all, I really am happy with having this and I've been using it for EVERYTHING! I'm really happy I got it and, because I enjoy this so much now, I'll probably upgrade very soon!
