My sister’s baby shower was coming up and I needed something that wouldn't end up in a junk drawer two weeks later. This Baby Crib Mobile with Remote is pretty straightforward, which is exactly what I was looking for. I am relieved it was straightforward to put together because I usually hate messing with plastic clamps and tiny screws. It fits onto the slats without sliding around, which is a big relief. The plush animals like the lion and giraffe are soft enough for a kid to grab, and you can actually take them off if they want to play with them separately. The star projector adds some color to the ceiling, which keeps the kid occupied for a bit. Using the remote is a nice touch because you don't have to tip-toe over and risk waking them up just to turn the music down. It takes a few different batteries that aren't included, which was a bit of a headache to hunt down in my kitchen drawer. The volume has a few settings, and luckily it gets quiet enough that it doesn't drive the parents crazy in the next room. It does the job without being overly complicated. Just make sure you have a screwdriver handy for the battery cover.
I do not think I have seen a mobile have quite so many cool features. You cant go wrong with a cute jungle theme. It is a very gender neutral design aesthetic. It is super easy to attach and once it is attached you get to start exploring all of the really cool things it can do. It is a mobile so of course it rotates. It has music and not just one or 2 songs but so many different ones in such a wide variety of styles. You can then play those songs with a very big varying degree of loudness for super soft to being able to hear it in the other room clearly. But that is not all, you then have a projector that puts on a beautiful light show above babies crib. I mean this thing is fully loaded. Right now it is priced at $29 and if you compare it to other $29 mobiles, they do not have all the wonderful things this one does. So this, I would say is a great deal.
