This is my second small touchscreen car radio review and the rating is mainly based off of the price again. 3 stars only due to time could tell if this radio will last and this review is a at first glance of this stereo with not a long period of time to give a durability and longevity of the stereo. Being SO cheap in cost but packed with so much technology, the overall quality has to be questioned and how long will it actually last. It’s strength is therefore it’s weakness. It is an overwhelming excellent price point for all that you get and I do like this single din height stereo and its functions and I’ll let you know why.
My point-of-view review: First in general let me explain why I love all these touchscreen “tablet-ish” car stereos with a little background on my experiences in the past. I’ve been around a long time with being a car stereo enthusiast who always upgraded whatever car I had since the late 80’s up until around 2010 when I didn’t need to upgrade them myself anymore (OEM systems got better). I always added a sub with separate amp to my systems and in the latter years looked for decks that had a touchscreen and GPS maps included. In general, the reason I love these Android Auto/Apple Carplay touchscreen “table” like car stereos is they remind me of the efforts I put into my first new car I bought in 2006 and when I removed the double din stock stereo and glued in a 7” touchscreen monitor and hooked it up to a small mini-itx Windows XP computer (mounted in a custom car case under the passenger seat) and even had a USB GPS receiver running Microsoft maps (yep, old stuff) taped to my dashboard. The setup was complex but now all that I did back then is wrapped up in these very inexpensive touchscreen car stereos that are super compact and have a lot more functionality. Technology finally caught up.
Now this specific Cogamichi single din Android Auto and Apple CarPlay car stereo has a slim single din profile. You don’t want to take up too much room but want a useful touchscreen radio/stereo that acts like a tablet then this is perfect for your car upgrade. The wires are simple and easy to install if you’re a DIY type.
If you have ever installed a car stereo before, this is even easier. Instructions are easy to follow and the wire diagram and wires are clearly labelled. It comes packed with everything you’ll ever want in a car stereo including:
• GPS antenna and cable
• Rear view 4K camera with wires for routing (although I doubt it is 4K but regular 1080P is perfect anyways)
• 2X USB-A ports in the front and also a USB-C port.
• Old School microphone for voice commands.
• Bluetooth connection for phone calls and audios streaming.
• The usual tablet functions you find on most tablets.
• Extra bonus: Physical button for volume and selection control on the upper left. Physical buttons are what a lot of the usual “tablet” style car stereos usually lack.
Overall, I like it and basically any inexpensive tablet style car stereo. For the super cheap price, it is worth a try. One downfall is that it doesn’t have RCA outputs to add in additional amps and speakers. At this price though, don’t expect too much.
I like this CogaMichi single DIN car stereo. It packs a great set of features into a compact size.
I chose the version with the complete universal wiring harness since I installed it in an older 80s vehicle where custom harnesses are not readily available. The universal setup made installation straightforward, especially with the clear instructions and well-labeled wiring.
The single DIN screen is clear and crisp, with USB and auxiliary inputs easily accessible on the front. My favorite design feature is the real knob for volume and power. It feels much safer to adjust by touch instead of looking away from the road to use touchscreen controls.
Pairing with my iPhone 15 was quick and easy. Bluetooth connectivity is stable and delivers solid audio quality. An external microphone was included and super at allowing me to put the microphone up high on the dash. It greatly improves my phone calls with the device as it is positioned pointed right at my face, capturing my voice over the background noise.
I connected it to my existing speakers, which are four standard 4-ohm coaxials, and the unit provides enough power to bring them to life.
The unit has a large heat sink on the back, and because of its shallow depth, it leaves extra space behind the dash for airflow. That should help with long-term durability.
Although I did not use them yet, the rear of the unit includes a full set of RCA outputs, making it easy to add an external amplifier or expand the system later.
Overall, this is a great option for adding a modern touchscreen audio system to a vehicle with a single DIN opening.
I don't know how they can offer this radio at this low price point with so many accessories and modern, in demand features. This inexpensive car radio is a great value. It included a backup camera with all of the cabling and connections necessary along with a microphone that comes complete with a little wind-sock. You'll appreciate that little windsock as I do if you mount your mic to the left side of your visor and ever drive with the window crack open. The screen is bright with crystal clear resolution and more features than I thought possible in such a small form factor.
Finally, an included, fully illustrated manual that goes though all of the features and connects in plain english to get us off to a good start. I added a couple of photos as examples. The bluetooth connects automatically once you set it up so as you get into your car your, and if your phone's bluetooth is active, you will be synced up that Apple Carplay or Android auto, wirelessly or wired. Your choice. The mechanical volume knob with its built in push/push on/off switch is a welcomed and convenient feature that has been disappearing from radios as of late. I found that the Amazon ad description appears truly outline the features of this radio in its photos and written description. There is a conveniently located USB port right on the front of the radio that allows you to pop in a little thumb drive for your music when you are not getting your music via Android Auto or Carplay..
I have attached a few pics and in particular I love the 'radio display' graphics for when your tuned it to AM or FM (see photo). I have tested most of these features, including Android Auto with my Samsung Galaxy S20+ using GPS via Google maps, playback of streaming services for both music and audio from live CNN, MS-NOW, etc. and the Tune-in Radio app. It's all good.
I highly recommend this economical touch-screen radio after extensive testing!

Getestet wurden Navigation, Musik, Bluetooth Telefonie, Android Auto und Wireless CarPlay. Insgesamt bietet das Radio viele Funktionen, zeigt aber auch deutliche Schwächen im Alltag.
Erfahrungsbericht
Optisch macht das Radio einen guten Eindruck. Der 7 Zoll Touch Bildschirm ist groß, hell und gut ablesbar. Für ein 1 DIN Gerät ist das Design modern und wirkt hochwertig. Die Touch Bedienung funktioniert grundsätzlich, reagiert aber nicht immer ganz so flüssig wie bei teureren Geräten.
Android Auto und Wireless CarPlay funktionieren, allerdings nicht immer sofort stabil. Teilweise dauert die Verbindung etwas länger oder muss neu gestartet werden. Wenn die Verbindung steht, laufen Navigation und Musik aber ordentlich.
Bluetooth Telefonie ist okay, die Gesprächsqualität ist verständlich, jedoch nicht besonders klar. In lauter Umgebung hört man deutliche Hintergrundgeräusche.
Das Android System mit 2G RAM und 32G Speicher reicht für einfache Apps und Navigation, wirkt aber bei mehreren gleichzeitigen Anwendungen schnell etwas träge. Für anspruchsvolle Nutzung ist die Hardware eher am unteren Limit.
GPS funktioniert zuverlässig, die Navigation ist genau. Auch WLAN und USB werden korrekt erkannt. Die Lenkradsteuerung funktioniert je nach Fahrzeug, ist aber nicht bei allen Modellen problemlos.
Ein großer Pluspunkt ist der Funktionsumfang zum Preis. Ein Kritikpunkt ist jedoch die insgesamt etwas langsame Systemperformance.

Ein funktionsreiches Android Autoradio mit großem Display und vielen Möglichkeiten. Für einfache Nutzung wie Navigation, Musik und Telefonie gut geeignet. Wer jedoch hohe Performance, perfekte Stabilität und schnelle Reaktion erwartet, wird hier eher Kompromisse machen müssen.
Solide Mittelklasse Lösung mit Stärken im Funktionsumfang, aber Schwächen in der Leistung.
