Good quality and performance

5 out of 5 stars

Good quality and performance
This dual dash cam delivers very clear video quality, especially with the 4K front camera. Daytime footage is sharp, and details like license plates and road signs are easy to read. The rear camera adds extra peace of mind and records clearly without much distortion. Night performance is impressive thanks to the HDR and night vision features. Low light footage still looks bright enough to capture useful details. The wide angle coverage helps capture more of the road and surroundings, which is important for safety and documentation. The built in WiFi makes transferring videos to a phone quick and convenient, and the app connection works smoothly. GPS tracking is a useful feature for recording speed and location data. Setup was straightforward, and the mounting system holds the camera firmly in place. Overall, this dash cam offers strong performance, reliable recording, and useful features like parking mode and voice control. It is a solid choice for anyone looking to add extra security and documentation while driving.

Great quality and easy to install. Could even quickly transfer the front cam between vehicles… though the back cam is kinda permanent once it's mounted. The app makes things even easier if you don't like the camera menu layout. Easy selection of what is being viewed… including a black screen with the clock which is great for night driving. Redtiger is the way to go.

I have only been using the dashcam for a few days and so far have no issues. One of the biggest selling points to me was the mount. I did not want to "glue" the cam to the windshield, the suction cup mount solves that concern. I have not yet fully mastered all the features of the cam but expect that they will suit me fine.

The only problem i had with this camera setup is the suction cup it comes with fire the front facing camera. If you live in an area that gets hit during the summer, the suction cup will "sweat" oils, and the adhesive will loose its ability to adhere. Result? The camera falls down. Solution? Redtiger does make a mount for this camera without a suction cup. I bought one of those and it fixed the problem. Its worked perfectly ever since.

The REDTIGER F7NA 4K Dual Dash Cam is a solid, no-fuss setup that does exactly what you need without any hassle. Easy to install and worked perfectly straight out of the box.
Great for new drivers, P platers or anyone wanting extra peace of mind on the road. If something goes wrong, you’ve got clear footage ready for insurance or any road drama.
The 4K front and 1080p rear cameras capture sharp detail, and it performs well at night too. The 24/7 parking mode is a big plus, especially in busy spots like shopping centres or events.
Just note it doesn’t come with an SD card, but it supports up to 512GB so you’ve got plenty of storage options.
Overall, it’s reliable, easy to use and covers all the essentials. I’ve got a few of these in the family and they’ve all been dependable.

    1) a) The power charger included plugs into the cigarette port in your car. The cable that is attached has a USB-C end on it.

    1) b) There is 1 x USB-A port on the cigarette charger.

    1) c) Personally, I need a cigarette charger that has multiple USB-A and USB-C ports. So, I used my own cigarette charger that has 2 x USB-A ports and 2 x USB-C ports.

    2) a) I tried using a USB-C to USB-C cable but the dashcam wouldn't power on.

    2) b) I find that a lot of dashcams with USB-C ports won't power on using a USB-C charger.

    2) c) I ended up using a 15 ft USB-C to USB-C cable.

    2) d) In order to get power to the dashcam, I used a USB-C to USB-A adapter and plugged this into a USB-A port on my cigarette charger.

    3) a) There is a cable attached to the rear camera.

    3) b) As in, the cable cannot be detached from the rear camera.

    3) c) The other end of the cable has a USB-C end on it. Plug this end into the front camera.

    3) d) It would have been better if the cable could be unplugged and it was a USB-C to USB-C cable.

    3) e) This way, if the cable broke then it would be easily replaceable.

    4) a) There is no micro SD card included. I used my own 128 GB SanDisk micro SD card.

    4) b) I didn't try any larger micro SD cards.

    4) c) The product page says that the maximum size micro SD card that this dashcam can use is 512 GB.

    5) a) The files are saved as MP4 video files.

    5) b) By default, the dashcam will take 1 min videos. The options are 1, 3, and 5 mins.

    5) c) For the front camera, a 1 min video at 4K is 246 MB.

    6) a) There are 2 windshield stickers included.

    6) b) These are just screen protectors.

    6) c) I learned this trick a while ago. Just take an old screen protector (from an old phone or tablet), cut a square off, and stick this square to your windshield. Then you can stick your suction cup or double sided tape (some use this) dashcam holder to the screen protector.

    6) d) The suction cup will stick on all winter without falling off.

    6) e) If you need to move the dashcam then you can do this easily since it's just stuck to a screen protector on your windshield.

    7) a) The videos are super clear in the daytime. You can see licence plate numbers only if they are moving slowly or stopped and you are close enough.

    7) b) If the car is moving too fast then you still won't be able to see the licence plate number even when you pause the video because it is too blurry.

    7) c) This is pretty much normal as of right now.

    8) a) At night time, the forward facing videos are clear. It's not daytime clear but decent for today's technology.

    8) b) You still won't be able to see any licence plate numbers because this is not a magic camera.

    9) The mic is sensitive. It seems to pick up everything.

    10) a) The dashcam can be removed from the holder that sticks to your windshield.

    10) b) When looking at the back of the dashcam, just slide the dashcam towards you.

    10) c) I found it to be a bit troublesome to insert/remove the dashcam because the connection is a bit tight.

    11) I didn't try using the rear dashcam because I don't know how to run the wire from the front of my car to the rear.

In conclusion, this is a good dashcam. The quality of the videos and the mic sensitivity are great. I can recommend this dashcam.
