Okaayyyyyy now I know you ladies out there have seen or have some kind of permanent jewelry and this little thing right here was great as far as a starter. I didn’t wanna get a welder yet bc I wanted to see if I could even do this! I do wish it came with gold solder too and not just the silver but… it’s a good product.

    I needed an inexpensive controllable iron to install heat sets. I am happy with the quality although I did have to smooth some plastic on the hand piece. The display is clear and easy to set. Considering the price compared to a Hakko it was very good purchase. It heats very quickly. The cord to the hand piece is decent enough.

    Mean Green Soldering Machine

    To be honest, when I first opened the package, I was shocked at how light the base unit was. It felt like a toy. However, my opinion immediately changed when I started using the soldering station.

    In the past, I have had soldering stations that took awhile to heat up and had cold tips (the side of the tip would melt solder, but the point would not). This soldering station has zero of those issues. The iron heats up very quickly, and with a variety of tips, it will suit most applications.

    The actual soldering iron is relatively light, and again toyish, but it is ergonomic and allows for precision placement. The stand for the iron in my opinion is excellent. It perfectly marries with the iron and has a nice and convenient area to clean the tip of the iron.

    The additional accessories it comes with is appreciated. It comes with a very generous amount of solder (an entire reel) as well as a desoldering vacuum pump and tweezers. Ideally it would have come with some desoldering braid, but at this price I am not going to complain.

    So, should you buy it? If you are looking for an economical soldering station, absolutely. You won't be disappointed.

    Bonus: It's GREEN which is my favorite color!
