These carried 8 amps DC for a minute while test load current on large incandescent bulbs. They did not warm up and have good clamping jaw force. They did not need to be copper for what I needed them for. They are great if your building a test circuit or want to add a fuse to a test circuit. The colors help keep things clear in the mind. IE in a DC circuit black is ground and red is battery plus. Blue trigger and green load for my circuit. I feel they are a good value and good to have if you work with wiring issues.
