Big Button Remote But Better
This is like a big button remote but better as it has lots more under the cover. It has shortcut buttons for Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and Prime which is nice as I get all four. There are fast forward, pause and a back button like on the Roku remotes. There is a CC Button, a Sleep button (one of my favorites), info and options buttons. I have a Roku TV and it set up fine. It does require two AAA batteries which you install from the back using an easy open and close compartment. I just use it for my TV so I can't comment on all the other devices it will hook up with and control. Overall I am pleased.

    This remote was a huge improvement for my 92 y/o father who recently moved in an assisted living facility that provided Direct TV with an extremely complicated remote. Setting up the new remote was simple. It came with Samsung TV settings (volume, power) pre-programmed so it was only a matter of setting it up for the Direct TV box. No problem! I was happy enough with this that I bought another for his other TV and box. For this I used the copy function to transfer the settings of the already programmed remote into the newly purchased remote, which worked perfectly. I'd highly recommend this for anyone who prefers fewer buttons and simplicity.

    This remote is very difficult to set up was never able to change channels on the cable TV and had to use a different remote for that. After 3 1/2 weeks, the remote no longer worked at all. I changed batteries thinking that might be it but it just Has no strength in its signal. One has to point very carefully at the TV and push buttons repeatedly before it responds. Very cheaply made, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

    Try as I might, I was never able to program this to work. I couldn't even find any YouTube videos on it. Probably because there isn't a name of the product anywhere, not on the Amazon page, the box, the instructions, or the product itself. Only a model number, which garnered no results when trying to research help to set up. I returned it today. I gave it 2 stars only because I guess it is possible that someone with a much higher education in technology than I, may be able to do it.
